You would think it would be easier for them, not being "the best guys" on their team.
Minnesota definitely has some goaltending isues, as well as injuries.

Subban is their best goaltending prospect and they drafted him with the intention of taking over for Rask, imo, just as Rask should start to decline.

Stewart doesn't even begin to start that convo, imo.

I know you said "add to" Stewart, but I think whatever you would have to "add" to Stewart turns into the main part of the deal coming back from Buffalo.

Maybe the Sabres put them in a bad mood. Oilers losing doesn't help.

The AVs had to give him up to get Johnson, and StL needed cap room to take on Miller & Ott. He was having a down year with them, but he also was good with them the year before.
Seems like consistency is his issue. He certainly has talent though. I'm sure there's plenty of teams that want a big tough forward that can score, but the question is what can we get for a guy that's struggling a bit.
That's why I'd like to add to him in order to get back a good return
Hopefully that's Murray's thought process as well
