If Murray's betting against his future then even with the low point total this is the most he'd be worth . Either you believe the numbers will add up when the team gets better, in which case why even consider moving him at all or you can't see that happening in which case it's a tougher sell.

Right now he's a young defensemen on a bad team that has little for him to work with. As this team improves and he doesn't (all hypothetical of course) teams will be less likely to give anything for him. You won't be able to find a team who'd be willing to pay for potential like they could right now.

I think it's impossible for his numbers not to go up considerably.

Most guys who touch the puck as much as him get 20+ secondary assists alone.

Where did you see this? Just curious because Coller basically insinuated this to me on twitter

That's where I saw it, was 95% sure that was you

Comparing New Jersey last year to Buffalo was a head scratcher as well.

Yea, I honestly couldn't take it anymore with his hypocrisy.

Couterier is held back by his team.... but Myers is.....

Is that enough though? If moving him got them someone who could do more for them than what they believe myers could?(if they were down on him). It's worth considering, and it's why it still wouldn't surprise me if they moved him. I'm of the opinion that they should keep him but you never know.

The thing i don't understand is they'll say something like that, but then list off proposals that you'd only get for players who are pretty good. So what he's worse than Mark Fayne but you want a future 30+goal scorer for him?

We won't know until we know I guess.

I don't see anyone trading something that Murray probably wants for him.

Dylan Larkin + Tomas Tatar is not a "massive offer" and even Detroit would probably have reservations about doing it.

Because they think that GM's are stupid. WGR is convinced that Myers will never be a star, but they expect another team to still believe he can be.

Which is fine to have that opinion, but at least be open minded that he could eventually. To be convinced he will never get to the level he was at during his rookie year is naïve

Vancouver, LA and New Jersey(nothing logical here just thought of a team that was in dire need of a big move) are my guesses. If he's looking to move him for something specific as opposed to just general value it could happen.

Jimmy Graham. He isn't as strong but he's just as good in every other aspect.

New England is just smarter than every other team in the NFL and have been forever. They know exactly how to use their players.

It's no mystery why most players that leave flop within a year or two away from New England

- sbroads24

Disagree. Gronk is a complete player at the TE position. Dominates the passing game and is a beast in the blocking game. Graham is a glorified WR with TE size. Graham isnt close to being physically as dominant as Gronk is.

I hate the Flyers. I hate the Bruins. I hate Toronto. But I'm not going to knock their best players for being great players. Hilarious that my fellow hockey fans dont carry that over across sports. You just hate NE. Brady isnt good, hes just part of a system. Gronk isnt good hes just part of a system. Welker isnt good, hes just part of a system.... yawn.

Simon Gagne will not return to the Bruins this season after the recent death of his father.

Sabres view Myers as cornerstone piece in rebuild

Tyler Myers' play started to go backwards when the Buffalo Sabres began their fall down the Eastern Conference standings five years ago. Now that Myers is on the rise again, the Sabres should end up using him as a cornerstone piece in their rebuild.

"Hopefully we will become

- gerbe75pts[a top team] in another two years or so and then you'll see the true importance of Tyler Myers and what he really means," Sabres coach Ted Nolan said.

Buffalo general manager Tim Murray is thinking along the same lines.

Murray has no desire to trade Myers, the 2009-10 Calder Trophy winner who is an improving 24-year-old defenseman, one of the bright spots in an expectedly difficult season for the Sabres, and signed through 2017-18 with a reasonable $5.5 million
"I've never made a call to another team on Tyler Myers," Murray told NHL.com. "I've had some calls, and I think it's kind of a domino effect where one or two teams see in other press, not Buffalo press, and called asking if it was true. I have not tried to trade this guy. Some teams have asked about availability. I've plainly said, 'I'm not trying to trade the guy, if you want to knock my socks off with an offer I'll listen,' but it would have to be a major, major trade for me to move this guy. I'm not pursuing that."

Feels good to hear articles come out where Murray agrees with things I've been saying lately

A. Gronk is the best TE in football. I never said he wasn't. But Graham is absolutely close
B. Calling NE a system team is giving credit to their coaching staff who work for the New England Patriots. So yes I can give credit to a team I hate.
C. Where was Wleker the past 2 years? 4th on his own team in receiving last season, and replaced quite easily by Emmanuel Sanders this season. Just like Julian Edelman magically replaced the great Wes Welker without a hiccup
D. Tom Brady is a top 3 QB of all time. But has not won a SB without a top 10 defense....ever. So the notion that he does everything by himself is quite hilarious

Also, if you can't see the pure genius of the coaching staff, I don't know what to tell you.

Recchi and Kariya are my 2 all time. Love 2 way guys who play in all situations.
BUt just think of all the good lines he was on everywhere he played..... well except in Atlanta but we always forget anyones time in Atlanta.

who I think we should have snagged of the waiver wire for a half mil and then we would have won the cup because im a dillusional fan.

I don't blame him for anything. He just was never anything more than pretty good.

He was healthy last year in Denver and was 4th on their team in receiving to Demaryius, Julius and Decker. "Great" wide outs (which I was hilariously told he was) don't finish 4th

In that vein, I'll take Rod Brind'Amour.

PS - he was reincarnated in Latvia and wears #28 now.

He's a great gimmick player. Short crossing routes where he beats a LB or slot corner. Edelman lines up outside sometimes and will make plays against top CB's. I'd take Edelman over Wes any day
