We should roll with that hashtag on twitter during game nights. Like when they did "SabresSleepover for the late night west coast trip last year. I just picture many mugs of beer and many sad faces.

I am.

Have a friend that has 4 seats in your section, he couldn't find anyone to go with so he sold those and we're sitting in mine.

He's had seasons in the same seats(same area in the Aud) since 1971.

Maybe Montreal does it the right way in honoring the player and number.

Yeah I felt dirty typing that.

But that's exactly how it should be. An outsider should be able to name an organization's rafter-worthy players. I can name scores of nice players that the Habs have had over the years. None of them will be in their rafters.

The other funny thing about some of the names that have been tossed around is that fans couldn't wait to get many of those names out of town. Andreychuk, Housley, Mogilny, etc. They had great careers but certainly should not be in the rafters.

Glad to see they're not Richarding him around. For 3 games he sounds like he did well (I don't think I've seen any of those 3 games).

Derek Roy recorded an assist in a 4-2 loss to the Florida Panthers.

Being acquired by the Edmonton Oilers has breathed new life into Roy's career. He has two goals and six points in seven games since joining Edmonton. He's not a bad pickup in standard leagues if he's still available

I'm off in section 312 for this one, but I'll take a stroll 'round the concourse and keep an eye out.

I have a list of friends that is ever growing that when asked "Hey you wanna go to the game tonight?" and their reply is "why? they suck it's a waste of time." Well when they're good again and you wanna go because it's no longer a waste of time, you can go fvck yourself.
- dadeadhead

Yes

And as far as the rafters thing. We are awfully short on banners atop the arena considering how long we've had a team and how they were mostly relevant most of the time. Excluding 70-73, 85-89, and the last 3 years. I think that's affected decision making. Personally I don't like the Leafs banner situation. They have all these modern new print banners for cups and players a half century or more ago and they are all identical. Very few new ones.

If he helps get them out of last place I'll never say another bad thing about him again. Hell, I'd hang up #9.

Speaking of the Aud this guy has beautiful pics of that place. Unlike most online of it being torn down.

I think it has something to do with the number of games players will be playing

Andreychuk is #2 in all time scoring for the team.

The way players move, that is something that isn't bound to change for at least the next decade.

I never had an issue with him. You need guys that can stand in front of the net and put the puck past the goalie. Something he did 640 times (368 in the Blue and Gold).

If they did not trade him Puppa and a first for Fuhr, good chance they win a cup in that era

plus they could have picked Allison, Koivu or Bertuzzi with that first rd pick
