I'm not sure either will be a legit number one. I think Sanheim has a better chance, but who knows. I'd be willing to try and get an older stop gap guy for a year or two to bridge the gap....but no way I'd pay a premium

That's more realistic. I'm just saying, unless I'm getting an OEL or Doughty or Pietrangelo level guy, I'm not going to be making a huge deal for a guy.

sooo i was going to run down a list of possibles and coming across drew doughty's profile, i was surprised to see he's only 25! i thought he was older.hmm that definitely makes me err more on your side in this, seing that possibly sanheim and morin could actually be what we need them to be in a few years. still tho gotta hope they pan out, im sure one if not both will.

Well....we could have had Carlson, but nu-uh, I'm not going there.

Looks like Lindblom had a goal in his first game back with Brynas. That's 10 points in 19 games for an 18 year old kid in a men's league. Even some of the best euro prospects don't put up those kinds of numbers with their big clubs, and while brynas are one of the lower teams this year in the SHL so he probably gets more play time than a kid would get on a good team there's something to be said about production.

Adrian Kempe who was taken in the same draft has 15 points in 32 games for Modo doing equally bad in the SHL this year, and he was taken in the 1st round by the Kings, Rantanen for TPS in Liiga has 13 points in 33 games and is considered by many a top 10 prospect in this upcoming draft (same age as Lindblom who was born 2 months earlier) and he already has a full year in the men's league from last year when this is really lindblom's first taste with the big boys having only played in 4 games for the Brynas top team last year.

Obviously it shows how teams look at potential and skill level, but boy Lindblom is looking like a nice little steal for this team.

edit: just saw the highlights... pretty damn sweet goal it was, basically made his way through the entire Djurgardens defense and scored a top shelf backhand.

Apparently it's a REALLY good draft, you have wonderkid Mcdavid and american Jack Eichel and everybody else, but everybody is also really good. Top dman being Noah Hanifin who for now is penciled in as a top 3 pick and other really good prospects that are less talked about.

If we're not lucky enough to get a top 3 pick and get one of those 3 guys, i want them to draft the next best pure goal scorer in this draft. This team already has 2 of the best play makers in the league in G and Jake, now need that sniper to go along with them or at least with one of them if they decide to separate this awesome duo.

I have concerns about his production. I can see the skill, and combined with the size he's an appealing prospect.
