Also, when guys like Ristolainen, Zadorov, and the other youngins start to take on more defensive responsibility, it should free Myers offensive game up even more

That's true and yes New Jersey still had awesome players (as you would need to win a cup). I use New Jersey as the example because they seem to be the one most refer too . I was far too young to remember to what extent they scored vs just played stifling defense and how great each player was but in general i remember them being a snoozefest for me and a lot of others. As a more recent example, that Devils-Kings cup final I watched maybe 2 periods (1st game 1, 3rd game 7).

I won't try to diminish the success they had as I realize what it takes to be that disciplined and sound on defense but the fact that even today it's the butt end of every neutral zone trap joke says a lot. It's sounds like a lot to ask for but I don't want the sabres to just win the cup, i want them to be entertaining as well. To the point where they're so good and fun to watch that nobody in their wildest dreams could try and put an asterisk on the win.

Completely understand where you are coming from, same thing applies to me when i watch soccer but that's the huge difference here. I'm not actually from Buffalo nor was i raised in a hockey crazy environment. The sting of 99 and those moments like may day don't hit me in the feels the same way.

Yeah must be nice to be a Blackhawks fan. Most dominant and exciting team in hockey. Yes I know Dallas plays up tempo but they are a cut below being dominant.

Can we make some kind of deal where nobody shows an interview with the players? I've been on board with the tank since the very beginning but I really do feel bad for some of these guys. I can't take seeing another interview with Gorges - the guy looks like he needs a hug.

It's one of the things i worry about the rebuild tbh. I'm not a born and raised hockey fan so for me the whole stingy, New Jersey devils 1-3-1 way of winning just doesn't cut it for me.

I don't want to win the cup because we bored the other 29 teams and their fanbases to sleep. I want us to be the team everyone loves to watch. The current rangers are skilled and fast, we really lack the latter at the moment. Hopefully they address that soon.

I know we've only known each other four weeks and three days, but to me it seems like nine weeks and five days. The first day seemed like a week and the second day seemed like five days. And the third day seemed like a week again and the fourth day seemed like eight days. And the fifth day you went to see your mother and that seemed just like a day, and then you came back and later on the sixth day, in the evening, when we saw each other, that started seeming like two days, so in the evening it seemed like two days spilling over into the next day and that started seeming like four days, so at the end of the sixth day on into the seventh day, it seemed like a total of five days.
