Honestly I really think he was referring to Leuwin (6'5) and Knapp (6'5) at the time. Neither look as if they have a future with this team. The focus was who would be replacing miller Within the near future. He said "We have a couple good young goalies here" as in here in north America already (with the Amerks)
- MCGUIZZY

Hackett and Lieuwen were in Rochester for most of the year. Makarov ended up there after the injuries started piling up here. Knapp was also in the mix, but I he had been passed by the others and was pretty much an afterthought.

Prior to the injuries, Makarov spent most of the season in the ECHL as there wasn't enough room for him to be in Rochester prior to that. He's always been considered a project. He can be wildly inconsistent. That's my concern with him. But I think him and Ullmark are the guys they really want to get a good look at and are hoping could be the next guy.

Why can a goalie not be like a player and develope faster. Why do all goalies needs 5-6 years as you say?

If it takes so long for Goalies to develop why would a team trade us an NHL ready goalie they developed just to start over?

- ImThatGuy

They wont. It wouldnt make sense.

I dont think they always need 5-6 years. I think a goalie like Demko could be ready in as little as 3-4 from the day he was drafted. hes already into his second year of college

Why?

Just curious.

Hoping to lose its one thing. Hoping to get their asses handed to them? Sorry, that's just bizarre.

- grand-magus

i have to make sure they don't come back lol ..

Same it kills me to watch my team get burned

Yeah, I want one of those top picks as much as the next guy, but on the same hand, I can't hope they keep getting shellacked.

Same with Rochester.

We need to start breeding a winners/hate-to-lose culture here. At least if you're going to lose, do it 3-2, not 5-1. Sick and tired of that.

I would be perfectly fine with them drafting a Goalie in rd 1-2 this year.

mid 2nd round is as high as I go i think but again it would have to be a clear cut stud goalie prospect.

No such thing. Culture changes with talent

Pittsburg by getting Crosby Malkin.
LA by Doughty Kopitar
CHI by Kane Toews
NYI - Tavares

There are some very good Goalie prospects this year (From what I read) 2-3 could go rd 1.

lol i have no clue why they take so long .. it's 3 years in college and CHL 2 years in AHL that's how i see all teams do it

I mean if they have a young goalie and he's the franchise i see no point in drafting a goalie like i still don't get why the Canadiens drafted zachary fucale but that's just me

Everything you need to know.

2 parts soy sauce
1 part canola oil
1 part any citrus juice (lime is great, orange, lemon, and grapefruit work too)
peel, skin, chop 2 shallots
peel, skin, chop 3 cloves garlic.
Mix.
Let meat/fish/chicken soak in this for at least 8 hours.
Grill whatever soaked.

Make a box of cous cous: It's at Wegmans, the directions are right on there it takes 10 minutes.

Open a bottle of Riesling.

After dinner cut peaches in half put them on the hot grill flat side down for 5 minutes each.

Open another bottle of Riesling.

Your ladyfriend will dig you.

Yes, EVeyone is so quick to say Buffalo is going to be another Edmonton when in fact they are absolutley nothing a like in any way.

From Mgmt to current roster to prospects.

Try that recipe this weekend for your parents. Use canned pineapple rings instead of the peaches.

Tell them you're practicing for dates.

There's very few prospects, especially goalies, that aren't though. I would bet that Dallas was hoping Campbell would be at a point that he could take over soon and from what I've heard, he's still a work in progress.

Yea I agree. But If there were a chance to draft the clear cut best goalie prospect in the draft in the second round I would do it.

Example: Demko last draft

- MCGUIZZY

Wasn't Enroth touted as that in 06 when they took him in the 2nd rd?

At least that's what my memory says. He was touted as the best but his height was a deterrent.
