What a pathetic excuse for a blog. Honestly.

edit: The reason I say this is because you see the post come across twitter and it appears to be a blog...but when you get here it's more like click bait to come back later.

as per tsn

TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie reports that the Maple Leafs brass will review all coaching options over the next couple of days but the most likely scenario is Horachek becoming the interim head coach, as there will likely be many big name coaching candidates available this summer.

so yeah I don't what Ek is trying to do here.

Everyone and their dog knew he was going to be traded... Did you catch any post game interviews the last 2 months??

Yeah but you guys could of waited at the deadline and see who gets desperate , the Oilers could of afforded to wait it's not like they were making a playoff push or anything.

Meh...they got a first round pick in a deep draft year for him. I don't blame them for jumping at the chance. I don't think it would have ended up being much better than that.

If I was Bylsma I wouldn't touch that job with a ten foot pole. They could give you five years but until Babcock signs somewhere else they're just going to talk about how he's going to replace you in the Toronto media.

My guess is they go with an "interim" seat warmer for the rest of the season, and then look ridiculously stupid when Babcock re-signs in Detroit, signs somewhere else, or just decides he wants a year off to chill with his family.

And Carlyle's point is valid. I don't see why a guy who doesn't like the media would ever choose to go to Toronto. I really don't know why a guy who likes to win would choose to go to a team where he's stuck with guys like Dion Phanuef and Phil Kessel who are pretty much the complete opposite of the "compete" type players he likes.

Meh- Perron was really a shadow of himself this year for whatever reason- no doubt he asked for the trade... I think the risk of him getting injured played a part as he came into the season with hip issues this year... Sometimes its best to let players that want to go - go and take the cash or in this case pick and run... also liking klinkhammer he might work out very well for us...

When does Nonis get fired? He's an even bigger problem.

When they figure out if Babcock wants to be the GM and the coach, or if he just wants to pick his co-GM (Sakick/Roy) style.

I think Niuwendyk should be GM and then hire Clark and Gilmour to coach.

They'll have to hire Nieuwendyk away from the Hurricanes.

Nonis is not a problem. The problem is higher. Nonis is just a puppet that does whatever management tells him.

This is why Burke was fired. He had different ideas and did things his own way. The way HE wanted to do them

Not likely. He only just joined the club. Of course, there's no guarantee he would even want the job in Toronto. I imagine there are quite a few who would turn it down.

That might be a good plan A.B. (After Babcock). I'd bet money they're going to wait it out and go all in on Babcock in the summer.

I'd say it's a pretty longshot that a guy who can basically take his pick over the next few years over probably 25 teams would choose that dysfunction but if they offer him $8 million a year and player control and the kitchen sink who knows.

They may have gotten a little bit of a sweeter deal at the deadline, but I think that there wasn't a significant enough upside to justify risking passing on that Pens deal.

He has to be the worst judge of talent in the nhl. His drafting record is among the worst of all time. I agree though, Larry Tenenbaum is the issue. Who the (frank) is this guy and how does he qualify to make hockey decisions?
