Giroux making like Willis Reed. Is on the ice now, but not taking line rushes as per the crack beat staff.

can't pass up a chance to get lorenzo's pizza
- BulliesPhan87

At $9 (I think, could be more) per slice, you sure can pass it up. Go down to the shop on South St. and get it for 1/3 of the price.

On the other hand, that single slice is more like 3 slices of whatever the hell they used to serve for pizza at the WFC.

I'm not saying it's a good deal (it's not); I will say it's better than what it used to be.

It absolutely is. And when the hot dog is $6 and the pretzel is $5, it's a (relatively) good price. It's still ridiculous though.

Sitting outside sipping coffee on a beautiful 75 degree Key West morning.

I hope your ice to liquor ratio is way off the whole time you're down there.

That'll learn ya.

Yeah, it's not cheap to go to a game.

That's why I've sold my January tickets.

OT but with the WJC ending last night, I got to thinking about what Team Canada and Team USA would look like in the 2018 Olympics (if NHLers play). Here's what I got:

Team Canada

Taylor Hall - Sidney Crosby - Nathan MacKinnon
Matt Duchene - Connor McDavid - Steven Stamkos
Jamie Benn - John Tavares - Tyler Seguin
Patrice Bergeron - Jonathan Toews - Corey Perry
Claude Giroux - Sean Monahan

Duncan Keith - Drew Doughty
PK Subban - Alex Pietrangelo
Morgan Reilly - Shea Weber
ME Vlasic - Aaron Ekblad

Carey Price
Jonathan Bernier
Jake Allen

Team USA

Max Pacioretty - Alex Galchenyuk - Patrick Kane
Johnny Gaudreau - Jack Eichel - Phil Kessel
JVR - Derek Stepan - Joe Pavelski
Zach Parise - Tyler Johnson - Nick Bjugstad
Kyle Okposo - Brandon Saad

Ryan McDonagh - Seth Jones
John Carlson - Justin Faulk
Jacob Trouba - Ryan Suter
Cam Fowler - Kevin Shattenkirk

John Gibson

I think it's a bit premature to compile a list of players based on what could happen in 3 years (and assuming that both Eichel/McDavid become top-2 centers for their respective nations). I'd have to imagine more than 1 player per country comes out of the next 3 drafts.

It's sad, but I'm serious. They're just not exciting right now. Even in 06/07, it was still exciting. There's no energy in that building right now. All I can hope is that, since the Eagles showed how much of a prentender they were, that I won't get into screaming matches with people doing "E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!" chants.

It's a shame the great Gary Coleman passed away. Dustin Diamond will have to pick up the slack.

Rinaldo on the top line and our hottest scoroer's hard work leaves him in the exact same place, the fourth line. Genius! Pure genius!
