I would think the upside of both of them is about equal.

Leon is behind RNH. So second line and likely not with Hall.

Will Bennett be behind Monohan? Who gets to play with Johnny.

Ya...that kid got wrecked

He joins a list of Russia tier 3 draftees that never made it. Only Anisimov ever made it after being drafted from that league

PK?

Not 9M good, not at all.

- pete26

pete it's not possible for him to be $9 million good. that would require him to be the best defenceman in hockey, which he's not. you can't base your expectations on his cap hit because these days, cap hit is as much a function of WHEN you sign a deal as how good you are.

I hate that logic...not yours...his.

So if he was getting paid 4 mill a year he should be considered a finalist of the Norris...but not at 9?

Precisely. And a $9 million deal today is nowhere near as crazy as a $7 million deal was 4 years ago.

well that's another thing. the pay scale is skewed by the shift in CBA. like if Shea Weber or Ryan Suter had signed their deals post lockout, what kind of cap hit would they be looking at right now?

Don't want to get into a pissin' match Adam, but to say he's been great so far, that's a stretch.

At least from the games I've seen, specifically the last game.
