I'll wait for Stee's review before passing judgement.

Maybe, but the window for this team to win the cup is within the next 5 years I'd say. If fucale can get you something to help you in that window, I would make the deal. What's the point with just staying on the merry go round where they are good but not good enough to win the cup?
- cburgess

I don't think this team will tank as long as they sell out the Bell Center.

I doubt Fucale is the missing link in a trade that puts the Habs as Cup winners.

Looks like somebody thought they were pals when it came to a debt.

Bergevin isn't looking to add a 'star' player the way Eklund puts it. Anytime the habs are mentioned in rumours it is for link clicking to generate revenue.

MB has said time and again he will build through the draft and development. If you can sign a guy that helps fill a need he will do that as well. But he won't overpay for guys via trade.

So no Eberle, Yakupov, O'Reilly, or any other 'big' name player whom isn't getting traded.

Fucale would never fetch Eberle or ROR even if combined with a 1st pick.

Keep the kid and let's have that talk in 5 years from now.

I agree. But Bergevin has mentioned that selling the farm for rental players won't happen.

Look at the Chicago equation. That is the one the Habs management are using.

Well good luck winning a cup then. They will never be bad enough to build through the draft. Is it not kind of a waste of elite players like price subban galchenyuk and patches if you don't bring in supporting players to make a cup run for a change?

I hate that. Let me know when the Habs draft Kane and teows and we can have that comparison. With price in nets, you will never draft before the 15th pick.
