I know Pierre called him a franchise guy but he was compared to Adam Foote who wasn't. Maybe he was supposed to be a top pair guy who can play physical and shutdown but not in same category of a Top pairing.

You don't have to agree with me. I am fine with that. I just know my plan of action.

- J35Bacher

If you're drafting a defenseman with the 5th overall pick, you'd better be thinking he's a top-pairing guy.

I agree 100%. I don't get why the hell the would be so quick to put out a statement he's probable to play the next night? It makes them look stupid.

Is it really hard to say Giroux has an injury and will be re-evaluated. His playing status will be updated once his injury has been diagnosed.

- PLindbergh31

He looked and sounded fine when he was interviewed after the game. If you never want them to get injury timelines wrong they'll have to stop giving any updates at all.

I feel bad for Clode and Jake, having to sit through this while they're playing so well.
- BulliesPhan87

I wouldn't be opposed to moving Jake either. He could bring you back a hell of a package. I love him and it would hurt to see him go though

Rinaldo on the top line?

If you're still defending Berube may God have mercy on your sad, sad soul.

Um, er...well...how about I said earlier that nothing would surprise me today, and it is just practice lines?

Someone would buy what I am selling, right?

And how was this brilliant deduction made? After he was stitched, did he put his skate on? Did he try and skate? Was the fact the stitches could re-open taken into account? How bout infection?

Eh, it's the Flyers....they do stuff like that. Maybe Giroux had issues with acceleration and the stitches. maybe they don't want to risk the sutures opening. It is possible that he had a minor setback, too

What would you give up for him, though? Chevy's gonna at least want assets that equal up to a 2012 JvR level of value.
- Tomahawk

I don't know. Winnipeg needs defensman so would you look to use Read and Coburn and Simmonds and get back Bogosian and maybe you get rights to Burmistrov as well. I would have to see what the market looks like at the TDL and see where exactly teams are compared to playoff pushes and who thinks they have a legit chance at a cup.

We don't need to know definitive timelines for injuries. They continually look like horses asses with this poop.

"Probable" isn't a definitive timeline.

I pretty much knew he wasn't playing Saturday -- anyone who has been cut like that, in an area where the stitches would be under constant strain, likely had that feeling

I think it could be a little while

Yes that is what they thought they were getting. I am just saying that I wouldn't be hesitant to make another trade because the JVR for Schenn one didn't work out as it was supposed too.

I also think TOR did no favors to Schenn in his deveolpment. Yes he should be better but maybe they really screwed him up. I don't know why he isn't what he is supposed to be.

But it isn't like he doesn't show flashes of what they saw. At the end of the 2012-13 season when he was the only healthy defensman he was playing very well and made you think he might turn the corner.

To be fair, it's a non game day practice and maybe Giroux will be in tomorrow.

Now, if it stays that way, it's a full on Berube'd

I don't know where to start with this.

PEE-AIR being PEE-AIR!

Or the whole "LUKE SCHENN IS JUST LIKE SHEA WEBER!" thing the broadcasters were going with.
