And when Calgary misses the playoffs this year and doesnt get any high end picks in the draft is your rebuild considered a success? I don't get how high and mighty your fan base is right now when you're not even in a playoff spot anymore and continue plummeting down the standings.

I never expected either to begin with so im ok with getting neither of them. Id like to trade the pick at the draft. I just hope we don't end up with Hanifin or Werensky. I didn't think either one played all that well in the world juniors. Strome looks like a heck of a prospect. You guys won't be picking anywhere near the top 5.

None of the last 4 posting are fans of playoff teams. Bruins need a retool. Lot of bad contracts with NTC/NMCs not sure how trading will solve anything.

Top 5, nope. Combine that with the mid/late round picks for several years and poor drafting/trades that's what they have become. No one has any illusions of playoff success. The last time this team drafted top 5 was 15 years ago. They only way to do that is the unlikely event of a trade. That's why a rebuild is coming.

You guys need a top line RW. We have Eberle but I don't know how Boston would make that cap number work. I would be willing to do Eberle + Marincin + Pittsburgh's 1st for Dougie Hamilton.

I think everyone has to cool their jets! Totally agreed, it is a extremely painful to watch this team after being a top dog in the East for many years. But making a panic move is the wrong thing to do. This team can win with some tweaks. Last year they could have went to the Cup Final. They lost in a tight series to MTL which they could have won and would have buried the Rangers in the East Final.
They were close. MTL was a good team and we couldn't match the speed. This is a concern with this team, they are slow and soft. Not a good combination.

I think trading the core is a big mistake. Trading Rask would be silly, he won the vezina last year and going into this year he was arguably the best goalie in the world. He has been off this year and everyone is calling for his head. For what Lucic brings to the team as far as intagibles couldn't be replaced. He is a player that you want on your team in the playoffs. He has been off but he hasn't found his groove yet. Seriously Seth Griffith as the answer for the RW on that line. That is really weak, Pete did not provide a better option.

Guys I would consider moving, Erikkson, Seidenberg, Marchand, Smith, prospects (Spooner, Koko, Subban).

Pete needs to bring in a viable option at RW. I would prefer it being Stewart or maybe Kassian. Bruins need to get tougher and meaner, that is there style. Iginla and Horton were tough and power forwards and that line was dominant and unstoppable at times. Stewart would score 20+ on that line. It was also get Lucic going.

In the meantime Claude needs to shakeup the lines to create a spark.

Is a complete non starter for me. Chara is in the twilight of his career, Seidenberg is not the same and Boychuk is gone. Trading Hamilton is a rebuild IMO. Eberle is not that good to warrant Hamilton. I would try a team that has a bit more NHL caliber depth in their core like Nashville.

Nashville is not a seller. NTC & NMC Along with the cap is making it tough to deal. Boston needs a couple of tweaks, not a rebuild.
