He and Seidenberg both. During the cup run that was one of the best shutdown pairings ever honestly. Now they're both four years older and have suffered knee injuries... They both have a few years left and ntc's, not sure how PC will fix the defense

Defense.......?

WE CANT SCORE MORE THAN 2 GOALS.......

That's my greatest concern!

Are we soft sometimes in front of the net......yes.

Do we make bad decisions with the puck in the D zone sometimes.......yes.

Do we pinch when we shouldn't in the O zone......yes.
BUT........

Are these issues going to go away with more experience........yes!

Dougie Hamilton.....3rd season..............146 gp. (Chara replacement)
Torey Krug..............2nd season............118 gp.
Matt Bartkowski.......technically 4 seasons, but really 2......104 gp.
Keven miller.............2nd season............72 go. (Adam Mquaid replacement)
Joe Morrow looked good in his VERY LIMITED time up here.
Trotman was alright.

I don't understand the gloom and doom with our D.......?

Who is going to help us score goals.......

David Pasternak......5 gp......

Um........

200 games......200....that's the number of NHL games they say it takes to really be ready in the NHL and have an idea of who you are as a player.

HAHA Chara has Zero value to any team in the NHL, get real... Yes, he is in decline, but you are talking about him like he is awful... get a grip.

Yup, suck for Eichel, cause he would help us tremendously right now, LOL, yuck.

In all honesty we have holes, but they are ot that many, just bigger ones. We need a top line RW (but keep in mind Pastrnak is very close)

In all seriousness: we have a great core and I would like us to lineup like:

Marchand - Bergeron - Smith
Lucic - Krejci - Pastrnak
Kelly - Soderberg - Loui
Paille - Khoklachev - Griffith

Or something to that tune.

Out of that lineup even I think moving Lucic, Smith, Kelly, Paille should be looked at as well as moving Campbell. The old boys club has to be shut and to move a guy like Lucic you may be able to add in a Soupy or Paille or Kelly. Hard with the NMC's that are out there though

- MrBeanTown

Last time you guys had a #2 overall top line center it didn't turn out too well

The Problem now is do we really Believe adding ONE guy to the top line is going to change this Team's play ????

This Team needs to go back to it's roots, it's the only way THIS Team can turn it around. your not going to just add a Skill guy and "Voila" everything is back to normal, they need that Heavy Presence that gave them the Success they had over the past 5 years or so, They Need a 4th line with BITE not skill, doesn't work on this Team, you can't have a Team made up of Grinders and then throw out a 4th line of (Low-End) skill ?? You need that trio that will at least make the other Team keep their head up, currently that is non-existant, give Soupy 4-stars for at least freaking trying to make guys accountable but he Needs Help in that Game McQuaid WILL do this, that's about it, Chara is not going to police, you can't have Lucic fighting IF he's on your 1st Line, (change it up Cload), Miller doesn't seem interested in that game this year (Yes I know he has injuries), HEY guess what they could use a guy LIKE #22, not to JUST fight but to fight when the Team NEEDS SOMETHING, we all remember the Dallas Stars game years ago THEN the Habs game which there was a Line brawl, including Timmy Thomas. This Team I think would just turn and skate away right now

- BruinBlood

Did you watch the Habs series and how embarrassing it was to have Paille-Campbell-Thorton on the ice........THEY SUCKED!

Posted earlier about how AWFUL our fourth line has been........

Campbell and Paille were 17th and 4th WORST IN THE WHOLE NHL in possession compared to there teammates last year.......Thorton was 13th worst.

They are over the hill and look lost out there.....they have for two and a half seasons.

HAHA, Center position is the l;east of the Worries, I am plenty ok with Bergeron, Krejci and Soderberg as top 3 C... Its the other areas that need help

I AGREE, We Need to have a 4TH Line with BITE, I think they need to replace both Campbell & Paille, goodbye, Keep Cunningham up-and then ADD guys who can HIT and make people accountable, Paille and Soupy have been great Soldiers but Time's Up, They said goodbye to #22 but that was It. AND if you think putting guys like Koko-Spoons on the 4th line your NUTS, that doesn't work on this Team.

That's clearly not what i said, read my previous post. You were the one mentionning Eichel, who is a natural center. As for Krejci, injuries have slowed him down this year, and without him Lucic is useless.

Yeah, i get ya now lol...

I just don't think Eichel is all that good after watching the World Jr. He was far from even best on his team by quite a bit, really didn't stand out besides a few plays here and there IMO.

True about krejci, still think he is a stud, but Lucic disappearing act is hurting him a lot as well, and also not having a consistent RW since Iggy left

Watched Sens and Bruins Saturday. Shocked by the deterioration of Chara's game.

Ottawa has played well against the Bruins this year so the outcome was not surprising. Ottawa is a very young team with great potential. The Bruins appear to have peaked out. Not much left (I think Hamilton could be a future Norris winner).

But, is nobody ever going to hold Bruins management accountable for trading
Seguin?

What we have been hearing is Chiarelli is trying to get Zack Kassian from his old buddy Jim Benning in Vancouver.

Please pick up the play soon!!!! As much as I do like the 'fall from grace' of your Bruins (being a Habs fan), I am counting on the Bruins to take the Leafs out of playoff contention! (of course the Leafs can possibly do this on their own as well, LOL)

Should pick up John Scott too.

Lucic-Scott-Kassian
Huge Nose - Bergeron - Plug
Overpaid - Soderberg - Softie
Stonehands - Colin Campbell - Who cares?

Old - Still Developing
Busted Knee - Mullet
Pull up CRAZY- Krug

Rask
Svedberg

Kassian is the prototypical Bruin. Good wheels, good hands, size, will mix it up, raw talent. Change for him would be good.

I was kidding while taking shots at the Bruins at the same time. I agree Kassian would be a good fit here, LA or STL.

How is that going to solve any problems the Bruins have? A worse in every aspect of the game version of Lucic? Except at being a coward. He takes the cake in that category.

Nobody as in Neely and Charlie Jacobs? That remains to be seen. The fan base was and still continues to kill them for it. Some tried to be open to and rational about it. However the writing is on the wall at this point, the return is not working.

Also I wouldn't have given up on Fraser so quickly...

In a frasnchise like VAN yes he is. They value speed and skill more than other aspects. In EDM probably is relegated to the AHL. Have to make room for McDavid this summer.

Won't fight guys his own size. Runs his mouth and won't back it up when it comes down to it unless it's a smaller player. Sounds to me like a stereotypical Canuck to me
