Not sure about the record but didn't Buffalo have 3 or the top 11 in 1983? W

We got Barrasso, Crieghton and Lacombe if i remember right.

- BigStew

If Perron got a 1st,
It is possible we get the same for Stewart and Stafford
I'd say all 3 players are comparable

Let's not act like Myers is Lidstrom or anything
He still makes his share of mistakes
And I think Strachan has looked pretty good in general, not just with Myers

- jdfitz77

he doesn't "turn the puck over a lot every game", and a lot of people here agree strachan has looked much worse without Myers (the whole team looks worse). That still isn't calling him Lidstrom.

Stafford maybe but I doubt Stewart gets you one.

Great rookie year
Rough start to sophomore, ended with 37 points and playing great against the Flyers in the post season.
Had another rough start 3rd year, finished playing great
Horrible lockout year. Not even a debate
Had a bad start last year (as did the whole team) finished with 9 goals in 60 games and was probably overall our best player down the stretch

- sbroads24

Right, its the 2nd & 3rd year that are debatable
Regardless, everyone has to be happy with the play of Myers since Nolan took over

oilers still up 3-1 with under 10 to go. Today is a good day.

His size will be really attractive to teams
Plus, with so many teams in contention again, there won't be many "sellers"
Do u think Perron is viewed more highly than Stewart?
I'd say some prob do & some don't

bold 1- what games are you watching?

bold 2- strachan begs to differ

- Herzeleid

I watch every game and count the pucks he blindly throws along the boards blindly and also up the middle and loses to the other team. I was at the Sawnnie House today talking to a guy who works for TBN and he said the same thing. He said he played D himself and notices it and I played D into college and I notice it as well. I could care less about the number of punches he throws

He also was there when TM was at Swannie House and Grigorenko came up and TM said "I didn't draft him" whatever that means.

Unless you're 60+ years old there is no reason to want BV.

It's a terrible whisky.

- dadeadhead

That was the joke. That neither Benoit, nor BV were good. But they will technically get the job done.

Right, just saying Myers isn't a #1 yet
He still has a ways to go before he's Chara, Weber, Suter, Keith, etc
Yes, he's our #1... But we stink, Lol

For any on here familiar with the Buffalo music scene, Lance Diamond has passed away. Just found out.

I know he's up there singing "Little Red Corvette" to the big guy.

I'd say worst case scenario...
Pick 3rd, draft Hanifin
Trade Myers for Hall, E.Kane, etc or someone like that
That still puts us in good shape for the future

Close enough to see and far enough not to be brain washed by Rob Ray like most everyone else.

I don't get why people want to draft a D

You can always sign a good d in UFA you can't find a young stud center

Yeah the one who gives the puck away, sucks on the PP, doesn't have many goals or points but thankfully has that big reach to save his arse.
