Sitting through this type of season, and having it not bare any immediate help via the draft is going to be tough to swallow. I know if they pick in the top 10 they are going to get a solid player. I'm holding out hope they can sneak into the top 3.

Keep in mind even if you take Eichel or Hanifin they may not leave college so if they end up with Marner who stays in juniors it's not a big deal.

Wow. That Nashville/LA game. Game started by Rinne and Quick ended up 7-6

I don't love Berube, but when you are relying on this roster to score goals and prevent them...let's just say that I have sincere doubts about Schenn and Simmonds to ever not be streaky, even if Scotty Bowman was back there
- AllInForFlyers

It seems to me Berube cannot even decide where to put his players without Giroux. Brayden Schenn, Vincent Lecavalier and Michael Raffl have all seen center and wing less then half way through this game. Del Zotto wing and defense. I'm not seeing a game plan. I'm seeing one player lost and a coach without answers.

Why is it that when the Flyers were playing poorly under Lavy, Lavy wasn't adapting his system to the players, but when the Flyers are bad under Chief, the players are no good?

Hes selling himself short or deluding himself. He should either be in Boston or followin team Canada
- KINGKENZO

Rumor was he was at the world juniors so he would have seen Mcdavid, Eichel, and Hanifin. Now Marner. He just needs to see Strome and that covers the probable top 5.

He's losing players, London is trading away players but because he's a future NHL 1st rounder he won't be moved due to the bonus the NHL pays junior teams for players taken in round 1.

Berube isn't the answer obviously. Fire this (frank)ing stiff, let Murray finish out the season and then hire a competent guy to start fresh.

He's only 17. He could grow another 6 inches by the time he's 20.

I thought Laviolette got screwed, too, but my feeling is this: Berube runs a simpler system, less risky, than Laviolette's.

But it requires guys who can maintain discipline, think defensively, and understand when and how to make plays offensively. It requires diligent back checking. It requires more hockey sense.

I am starting to question if the Flyers have enough collective willpower and intelligence to play this way, every game. They can for spurts, depending on the competition. But as a whole, maybe these guys are never going to be able to skate and check well enough to play this system
