could not score goals early on but was getting a fair amount(for this team) of assists. I feel his compete has been better going back to the end of last season and the trading of the "assets"

When they made that free agent run in the summer of 2011, both Ennis and Stafford were absolutely guys they expected big things from, and didn't get. Now, Stripes is right when he says a lot of that is the fault of management, but the fact is, they were given those roles, and didn't deliver, whether they should have or shouldn't have. And if you're not one of those players, you're replaceable as far as I'm concerned. That doesn't mean I want them traded yesterday, but it does mean that the team shouldn't feel obligated to bend over backwards to keep them.

ennis started out on leino's wing...poor guy...ennis also just turned 22 as well that season.

I blame him for the back and forth with Grigorenko too. Rememeber in camp he was skating with Leino and Ott. That line looked really good, then Ville broke a hip and the bounce around game began with Grigs

Yea I don't remember Ennis ever being expected to carry the load outside of Vanek and Pominville being moved

Stafford on the other hand was expected to be a 30 goal guy annually and obviously failed miserably

that was one effed up season...nothing less than a complete blow-up could've saved this franchise from the mess that was 2011-12
