Poulin does this on a regular basis. Last year we lost majority of our games because he couldn't make the saves we needed at key times.

Agreed 2 big points tonight. And I have to agree with Cappy and players. Isles last 2 blown leads isles effort was still strong.
In Buff game, Poulin just flat out sucked and Enroff got hot. that why we lost.
In Caps Game, 1st goal was goalie interference, and 2nd and 3rd goals were flat out great goals by Backstrom and Ovechkin. We never lost control of game and our strong skating lead to the 4min penalty and the OT win.

I think we all unanimously agree, 24-11 in the new year is great place to be. you have the reg season to fine tune your game so you don't make 3-0 blown lead mistakes in playoffs.

LETS GO ISLES. Happy New Year to you all .

50 NHL games .899 save % and 3.07 GAA. how can you expect to win games guaranteeing 3+ every game.

Johnson at least I think could benefit from few more starts. we need him to be contributing to succeed in 2nd half.
Unlike Poulin, Johnson has shown he can play in NHL.
Johnson 48 Games 0.913 and 2.41GAA.

Either the team lacks the coaching or the size to play a defensive game with a three goal lead so they can contain the opposition or force them to gamble which results in turnovers, instead we give up a shg in the third against BUF. Maybe too much Christmas turkey.

I wanted Poulin to get another look on the Isles. I really think it's not a real look making a guy play the night after he had a 40 save shut out in Boston. Yes he gave up a horrific goal short handed, but I still would like him to get another look. He has played very well in AHL all year.

It is hard to complain too much at 24-11-1 (but we'll find a way. HEY-O!).

You hit the nail on the head. It is faceoffs. That is the biggest problem. Losing defensive zone draws is the biggest reason why the PK sucks and the biggest reason why this team is coughing up 3rd period leads.

It is hard to believe that on a team with 7 natural centers (JT, Nielsen, Nelson, Strome, Cizikas, Grabovski, Bailey) plus 3 big, physical wingers (Okposo, Kulemin, Lee), that not one of these otherwise talented hockey players excels in the faceoff circle. We certainly haven't seen some of them even taking draws. If KO and the 5 guys actually playing center ain't getting it done, why not give Grabovski a shot? Or Kulemin? Or Lee? Heck, maybe Bailey is better than earlier in his career. None of them could be much worse than the group has done thus far.

az, edm should be 1-2 in the lottery so we have neither of those two kids in the east.
