Think it's a good idea to throw a young defenseman coming off of an ACL right into the NHL?

More offensive punch on the D side, D becomes more mobile and MDZ can pove the puck better. We do lose out on Schenns ability to block shots, take the body and use his size to win battles. With the size Schenn is, he should be clearing the crease.

Obvious differences between the two players. Just understand the debate is about not making the lineup change, but waiving and demoting Luke Schenn because he is scratched tonight, and has been scratched in the past.

Sadly, they would be completely cleansed of him.

Should have hired Danny Almonte's uncle to do put together Pronger's birth certificate

I said it wouldn't do Luke Schenn any good. How does that apply to Gostisbehere? Is every player in the same situation?

i think ppl (and this is not directed against you) who thump their chest for sticking up for other players should thump their chest for schenn tonight

How are people feeling about Read on the top line? I actually think it's a drop off from Raffl to Read at this point.

I'm excited to see Read away from Umberger though.

I feel like Read struggles with Giroux for some reason. Anything that lets Read focus on firing the puck though I have to have hope for.

I think it's more about trying to get Read going offensively.

I don't know where I am with Read right now. How about this: I just want to see the good Read far more often over the remaining 46 games

Maybe it gets him going too. Any word on what the rest of the lines will be?

Maybe getting him out of the John Madden role and away from Umberger will help him. He's certainly going to have opportunities with Jake and G. I just hope Berube doesn't do like he did with Schenn and move Read after 5 periods.

I'm not really worried about the top line. It's not surprising that they weren't having multi-goal nights on the road against elite top pairing defenseman.

Whatever the rest of the lines are I think it could do the Flyers some good. Maybe Raffl's speed and tenacious forecheck opens up Braden Schenn or Couturier or Laughton. Maybe it gets Read back to the Read of old.

Oh, gosh, no. The last.thing in the world I am.worried about is Giroux and Voracek. I am impressed with how well they've done against what they are facing, tbh, especially when no one else was going at all

The only reasoning I can think of is Raffl's been suffering a drop-off of his own. This is probably just a change of pace thing for Berube.
