It's a good question. Probably no great options. The best thing would be for Johnson to find his game. - ses111
I agree, Johnson is capable goalie. He really needs to find his game. Im glad we only had to see one game of Poulin. Send that guy packing forever. |

Tavares looks like hes getting slowly back into form again. Couple times he slowed down the play and got some good looks in the slot. Hoping he has a dominant second half. Team needs him. Strome to me gets better every game. Kid was bounced around last night and looked good every where he played. Grabovski has got to get going along with Nielsen who has looked out of sorts lately. - Cptmjl
Stamkos went 8 games without a goal.
Crosby had 2 goals in 13 games.
Even superstars have "slumps" or dry spells.
Everyone get over it. |

I agree also. He looked equally as good as Halak in pre-season/first 10 games or so of the season - winning 3 of 4 starts, I believe. He's proven himself before. Didn't hate Poulin getting the start - he was playing well in the Port but unless they're moving Chad, they have to give him games and get his confidence back. |

great win last night. that first goal by caps should have never counted. that was goalie interference. did I fear losing game. no. Halak is the difference.
Strome played a very strong game and love how he refused to just sit still on PP.
Isles PP look much improved last night.
Great win. Lets follow it up with win in Winnipeg. - Spartiarti

While im glad they ended up getting the ROW and the 2 pts, that was far from a great win. It was a choke job salvaged by Boychucks wicked rocket.
However, in the end they are tied for 1st with Pitt with an equal amount of games played. Pissed they gave washington the point but they still found a way to win even after choking up that 3 goal lead...again |

problem is, if Johnson doesn't get better, the Isles are going to have to lean on Halak a lot. Johnson hasn't looked good in weeks, sans his game against MTL. - Jethro09
Johnson was mostly "back-up acceptable" against MTL, so I'm willing to give him another look at some point. Looking at the upcoming schedule maybe against the Oilers? |

JT's offensive does not concern me. I'd like to see a better D effort from his line though. |

Youre preaching to the choir pal. I have nothing to get over. Im not bashing the guy take it easy. I never realized saying he was in a slump and seems to be coming out of it was such a horrible thing? Next thing you know you'll be calling me a racist and be knocking on my door with reverend Al next to you. |

Someone not get his G.I. Joe with the kung fu grip for christmas?
Relax. Wasn't bashing YOU as you have not been leading the charge or suggesting JT is losing his skills.

and in those wins Johnson got early on I was complaining that his angles were off, his rebound control sucked and that we were outscoring teams, he wasn't winning games for us. It caught up to him, he's had ONE good game this year against LA, and every other game has allowed at least one questionable goal, sometimes closer to three of them.
he's not on his game and hasn't been for all but one. Don't give him credit for games like Dallas were we scored 7 and barely won it.

I just don't see where Grabner "fits " on this team right now .Which line do you break up and who sits???? Forget about blowing the 3 goal leads for the moment. If we were not all fired up about that right now and the back up goaltending, the Isles biggest "problem" would be to figure out what to do with Grabner. |

I like Grabs but I just don't see them getting anything for Bailey so it makes sense that Grabs would be the one to go since he has more value then Bailey. Unless they just rotate all year because it looks like they can't stay healthy for more then a week or so - Vukota
Someone will have another "injury" soon. Like right around when Grabner is ready to come back. |
