This team has a ton of talent, but if the backup goaltending situation isn't addressed, they will be passed by the Rangers and possibly the Caps and end up in the equivalent of the familiar 8th in the conference.
If the PK and faceoff issues aren't addressed, they will not make it to May. |

The Isles sometimes have trouble against the bigger, physical teams like the Caps. If I were Cappy, I would consider resting one of the smaller guys like Nielsen and starting Boulton instead. Isles have plenty of centers to fill in for Nielsen. - JohnScammo

Remember that when Fransie is plastered against the boards. Someone else was just remarking that he's been invisible for quite a while. He wouldn't be missed for one game. |

cant take out nielsen for franking boulton, he's too valuable on the PK and as a shutdown line. He's also our second best faceoff guy, which as a team we struggle with. He would be missed greatly. If you had said bailey I would've listened. |

Settle for Matt - he's on waivers. - stashu
I'd take him. Add another one to the system, I thought he was a somewhat promising prospect? |

He's been hurt, this is likely a move to get him in the AHL for unlimited conditioning time rather than some league mandated limit by "loaning" him. |

Surprised nobody took a flyer on him, injuries or not. |

He just went on waivers today, so someone still could. |

Remember when Mike Comrie was the #1 center? - Vukota
Didnt he score 3 or 4 goals in the season opener? They joked after the game he was "on-pace" for 246 or 328 goals. Talk about a guy who played like he was out on the pond. |

I was thinking he had two goals in each of the first two games, but I could be wrong.
My favorite Mike Comrie moment might have been when he found another little guy to drop the gloves with--maybe on the Rags? An excellent featherweight bout. |

2-0 Isles after two...now I'm nervous...Cappy must be telling them.."don't worry boys just shoot the puck in and play defense...no need to score anymore" |

"No worries boys, it's a 2-goal lead, that's better than 3!" |
