his next deal may be different, but i dont think coburn should be moved simply to cut cash. if youre moving him for assets right now, before you want to have to deal with trying to resign him, if you get a good enough deal then why not.

but for right now, i think youd find a hard time finding many defensemen of similar worth playing for similar pay.

It'd be more for assets. I can't see paying Coburn more than $5.25mm for what he brings. He's a great supporting partner to a good defenseman, but he struggles when he's called upon to be the anchor. You can't overpay for that.

I could see possibly 2 of Morin, Gost and Sanhiem playing for the majority of the year next season with the Flyers.

Ghost is likely. I think they'll look to see how Morin does in the AHL before considering a move to the NHL. Sanheim next year? I see next to no chance of that happening.

Not sure about Ghost just because of his injury. I don't think they give Sanheim a real chance to make the team. Morin possibly, but he may start in the AHL similar to Laughton this year.

Hextall's philosophy is unless they do amazing it is down to the minors they go. Laughton is getting good minutes on the team I think he'd be fine to stay up.
