It is time to break them up
- VANTEL

This might be true. For our 'first' line of Sedins/Vrbata I think they are bottom five for first lines in the league for 5/5 play. Not gonna get the wild card with that 'first' line production. Hopefully Benning is busy working the phones starting tomorrow morning. Bumping Daniel to Bonino's line might give Bonino the jump start he needs as Dorsett just ain't gonna make it there

But who replaces Daniel on the first line? Trade?

We are not even close with this roster. Look at the numbers on our top two lines we are probably about 15 goals down from the league average and our D is thin. We need about 6 players not 2
- VANTEL

Oh...don't get me wrong I agree we may need even more than 6 players to become a 'contender' again. But like we have said all year if Benning can somehow get Bonino a winger and the RHS D man we need we can and most likely will 'flirt' with the WC spot...no guarantees though as I did predict that we would be out of a playoff spot by Jan 1 with this current roster (pat on the back)

I missed the game. We got a point, that's nice. What broke our back last season was the complete fail in our own division. Success in the division was something that use to keep us afloat when we were in the NW. This season we are strong in our division so far.

We played pretty good for the first period but our lack of depth really showed in the second and third period. Miller better kiss those crossbars it should have been 3-1 ANA in regulation.

So crossbars should count as goals?

So off to the Shark tank for tomorrow night, things aren't getting any easier for the boys, they'd better shake off that holiday rust in a hurry or they're gonna find themselves on another losing streak.

Someone needs to be put on that second line with Bonino, I like Vantels suggestion of Daniel, he's a great passer of the puck, maybe they can spark something there?

Was reading this morning that Boudreau put the line of Silverberg Cogliano and Thompson on the twins line to shut them down, obviously it worked and when you don't have secondary scoring…well here we go again…same old same old.

"We don’t usually assign checking lines to teams, at least in the first half of the season," Boudreau said. "But tonight we moved Nate with Silf and Cogs and put them against the Sedin line, and I thought they did a great job."

I don't think anyone had to "shut them down." They looked disinterested and a step behind the whole game. Too many times they would quickly pass off the puck to avoid a hit, or avoid chasing the puck down.

Aside from needing a 1st line, all they need is two scoring wingers for the 2nd line and the Presidents Trophy is ours.

The Canucks have the best record versus inter-division play in the pacific.

As long as the team does not implode i believe a wildcard spot is ours to lose as Calgary, Minnesota and Dallas are slowing down and/or had a rough start.

Granted, it really pisses me off how this team only relies on the cycle down low to create offense. What happened to the days in which we could count on the D to move the puck or simply fire it at the net

I was looking at the Presidents Trophy in the HHOF the other day thinking, "well that's a sharp looking piece of hardware"….I'm on board with winning it again!!

It's been close to 20 years since I've been there. Won't get my picture taken with the cup until the Canucks are on it. Looks like I'll be waiting a little longer.

Lions should have waited for Trestman to be fired.

Not that I really care about the cfl, but I thought it when they hired Redford.

Evander Kane out until Feb with lower body injury? Kid is having a terrible year, maybe a trade while his value is low?
