Yotes will make a couple deals and that should be it for them, Staal isn't a game changer. He flopped with the Pens when Crosby and Malkin were out and Tyler Kennedy stepped up more then Staal.

Michael Pachla: "The Legend of Zemgus" is growing
Although he's still developing at the "tender" age of 20, Girgensons has the drive and the "it" factor

Completely different situation here for Staal
His brother is and always will be #1
He just needs to make the 2nd line viable, and play well defensively against other top players
He's more than capeable of filling that roll, and doing it well

I still can't see us finishing lower than 4th. The Oil and Yotes are awful. Also, I think there is a really good chance that a team above us will go all-in with a tank. I think in the not-too-distant future you're going to see teams start to move assets. That's also why I think Garth's return on our guys is even that much more ridiculous. Our best asset to trade might be taking on salary.

Lost HBSL by 80 points and the difference in goaltenders was 79 of it.

Oh well, now a 4 way tie for 2nd place.

Lost by 23, Gaudreau got him 45 pts

Edit: and HBSL is still nearly impossible to use without adblock. If Ek doesn't want people to use adblock, he sure as hell isn't helping himself here.

How does a goalie end up with -2.5 ? Fleury
Ennis with 1pt for the week

Derek Roy's on waivers. He's a Tim Murray-Ted Nolan type of player. He's tall and he tries really hard. All of these things make him elite, which begs the question, why the hell hasn't he gotten picked up. DoSomethingDar..I mean Tim!

The Buffalo Sabres have the pieces to make a pitch for Oilers winger Taylor Hall. Options could include defensemen Tyler Myers and Mark Pysyk, forward Cody Hodgson and goalies Jhonas Enroth or Michal Neuvirth. They could also include first-round draft picks acquired from the NY Islanders and St. Louis Blues.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: I can see the Sabres making a pitch for Hall, especially if they land Connor McDavid or Jack Eichel in the draft, but that proposed return doesn’t sufficiently address the Oilers needs. Enroth and Neuvirth could be Scrivens or Fasth revisited, Myers isn’t the experienced top-two defenseman capable of anchoring a rebuilding defense while Hodgson hasn’t proven himself as a reliable top-six forward.

I disagree what he mentions about Myers, if that was the case 6-7 teams wouldn't want him. Enroth is better then both of the Oiler goalies and Hodgson isn't as bad as some say, he looks lost at times but has talent.

I noticed on Yahoo sports per NBC sports that Marrone has a 3 day out but they expect him to stay as head coach. That doesn't shock me, Marrone couldn't manage a game if his life depended on it.

The biggest problem I have with Marrone is the fact he did not bench Orton and play Manuel for the last 6 games or so. Orton was obviously the reason they lose at least 3 of those games. I, for one, do not feel you can judge a QB's abilities by 10 games played. It is ridiculous to think that...... Now the problem is the Bills really do not know what Manuels abilities are....... I hate to tell you all this but Manuel is the only game in town next season. If the Bills keep Orton as their starter then that means they are not committed to winning.... Period!!!!!!

EJ sucks........... case closed. This team goes noplace with him at QB. Thry need a QB in the draft or trade for Cutler IMO. There record is worse with EJ

I think Marrone has his shortcomings, but he "managed" this team to 9 wins. Yes, he had an elite defense, but he also had a terrible offense.

89... I gotta disagree on Cutler... He is more regurgitated crap...... They have no #1 pick this year so forget drafting a QB...... The only other solution is Thad Lewis.... Kid played 2 or 3 games last season and showed some raw talent...... Orton is definitely not an option IMO....

And Manuel was the reason they lost the Houston and San Diego games. The problem is the Bills don't have a real capable quarterback on this roster. It was damned if you don't, and damned if you do. Orton is immobile and not very accurate. Manuel is incredibly inaccurate and can't make a read beyond the first one to save his life. Neither trait wins you many games.

9 wins is not good enough, well here in Buffalo it is. Marrone's game managment is horrible as is his offense.

While I wouldn't write off EJ yet I certainly agree that IMO he's not the answer. In his limited career so far he's done nothing to show me that he has the 'it factor'. He has talent and a strong arm but I don't think he has the head for the game. He's not a play maker.

The Orton move saved Marrone his job but he's obviously not the answer either.

I want no part of Cutler. Too much money and he's a turnover machine; I don't care what team/coach he plays for.

One option could be Sam Bradford. Plagued by injuries and a monster contract but I think he's out unless he restructures BIG TIME and what player is going to give away millions. He has the talent. Draft some O linemen and make a run at him.
