I definitely think we are all overthinking things.

1. AV hates sitting people or not having people in the lineup for long stretches because it makes it that much worse when we need them to fill in and they haven't played.

2. It was against the Devils. I couldn't tell you for sure that I wouldn't think the same and dress Glass for toughness and potentially fighting. Teams usually respond to a coach firing and GM behind the bench with a strong effort and aggressive play. Maybe AV was trying to predict this and decided to sit Miller who is still young and learning defense (though he has been good lately) and rather go with the tough physical and pretty good defensively Glass.

3. Fast definitely has a better defensive game than Miller in general.

4. Maybe with Nash on fire and MSL scoring and the rest of the team contributing offensively, he was okay sitting Miller because the thought it would be low scoring against the Devils which it traditionally is.

So who's getting tonight's hat trick to complete a hat trick of hat tricks?

After NHL.com refused to honor those Stanley Cup Replica jerseys for us last year where they had them on sale for $60 bucks, I refuse to ever buy anything from that site again.

Yeah, Reading the posts on HF it seams they are horrible with this. You'd think ordering from the source you'd get a quality product. I know my Authentic Cally winter classic came from them and its flawless. Girl on the phone was nice (and sounded like a complete valley girl haha) so she said just return the jersey (yay pre-paid postage) and they'll send the jersey out overnight to me. We'll see how round 2 goes. I made note to put comments about the C and the peeling plate so i hope that's good enough.

1st point is spot on. I honestly don't think its a AV vs Miller thing. Although I would personally like to see Miller as a regular, AV likes to keep people fresh, same issue he is having with J. Moore & Hunwick.

I agree with the sentiment, but during an 8 game win streak ride your horses. Keep guys fresh with more use in practice.

J. Moore vs Hunwick doesn't bother me as the production variance is minimal. We all see the potential upside of Miller vs Stempniak though.

Didn't hear this keeping guys fresh last year from AV . Living on the westcoast I watch the Canucks a lot not once did AV rotate guys in trying to keep guys fresh . And if he was going to do that it would of made sense for a west coast team with all their travel . I've never been a big fan of AV in the pass but he has made me a believer lately . I just find it all a bit confusing , but if a coach doesn't trust you your on the outside looking in . That's with all coaches just not AV

I agree and that's why I would love to have Miller as a fixture on this team. We have all waited a long time for him to earn a spot and it looks like he finally has. I was pissed as well seeing Miller as a healthy scratch. Then I realized its just AV keeping Stempniak fresh. Hopefully he is back in the lineup quickly.

True, but I think this years team is actually deeper with skill & role players than last year. Maybe AV is adjusting to that and trying to keep players who would normally be in the lineup every night in game condition.

We didnt have this much depth last year. With duclair, we have 2 forwards that need to be healthy scratches every game. AV seems to love what glass brings to the lineup on most nights so there will always be at least 1 scratch that we don't agree with.

I still would rather Miller on the 3rd line over playing with Moore and Glass. AV can't actually expect him to produce any offense with them can he? Put Stempniak on the 4th line

was going to be fast or stempniak if you think about it. unless glass has the umps, he's never coming out of the line up. we just have to get used to seeing him game in and game out
