how did they go from a top PK team year after year to .... THIS.
7th best PK last season
5th best the year before...

do they have the same PK coach or somebody else?

it's not the only reason, but missing mr. timonen is a big factor. no way around that.
and for whatever reason the read/coots/grossmann/whoever else is getting abused.

The Flyers gave the Predators a belated Christmas present with that 5-on-3 PP in the 2nd. Read's high stick was the kind that happens in a game - and Ribeiro sold the poop out of it, too - but Giroux's was careless, especially considering they were already a man down.

Just butt-ugly.

giroux isn't a leader he just goofs off

Had a top unit last year without Talbot, but he'd definitely help this year with the way Read, Umberger have played

Let's not pretend Foles wasn't holding the ball too long or turning it over too much as well.

He just so happens to look better, in comparison, to Mark Sanchez.

And the funny thing is, if you look at Sanchez's numbers.....they are almost certainly good enough to get him a contract as a backup somewhere. Someone, even if it's the Eagles, will give that guy a contract.

i agree. he will be a backup somewhere. and its hard to say he doesnt deserve it. but most backups will eventually show why theyre only backups if pressed into long term action.

He's an acceptable back up...if you count on a backup to start half a season, you got troubles.

exactly. most teams would eventually crumble if they had to go with their backup this long, especially when the rest of the team isnt stellar in all areas.

it is pretty poopty to start 9 and 3 and miss the playoffs though.

No Timonnen
No Hall
Couturier and Read have been useless on many PK's.
