This win was all Hank. Allowed NJ to carry play too much throughout, especially in the third.

What he do?

Put a cross check into one of the German kids lower back. Not the worst hit, but once you get the misconduct it atutomaticaly goes to review by the IIHF. The IIHF, makes the NHL look competent int the suspension department sometimes.

Are things that bad?

8 game win streak, best in 40 years.
A letdown is due on the horizon ... lets hope for 9-10-11-+ and just accept it whenever it ends & skate forward ...
This team is headed in the right direction

Pretty solid game. Got the win against a team we should. Kreider is invisible out there....I think the only time I noticed him is when he negated an icing. Outside of that he didn't do anything.

I hear you Jan, but at the end of the day the only thing that matters is who wins and who loses. We'd all love to thoroughly outplay the other team for 60 full minutes but it just doesn't happen in this league. In the SCF, the 4 games we lost we outplayed the Kings for the majority of the games. The 1 game we won, we got dominated. So who gives a crap about which team outplays the other team for certain stretches when at the end of the day the only thing that matters is who gets the win?

For everybody that was pissed when Stepan got injured because they thought he was going to beak 70 points this year, he's currently on pace for 73 in 70

This isn't directed at you in particular but I don't get whey everyone gets so obsessed when Kreider doesn't score. Zuccarello, Brassard, and Hagelin really did nothing tonight. But it is always Kreider sucks he is invisible. When I thought he was solid defensively, did a good job on the forecheck controlling the puck and helped keep long shifts in the offensive zone. The MSL-Stepan-Kreider line was the teams best line tonight. But since he doesn't score everyone always gets so pissed.

Kreider was 2nd to MSL in Even Strength ice time among forwards for a reason in this game. He was solid.

I was watching the game on and off at the bar but I just didn't notice Kreider much. Don't get me wrong, he can be a great player when he's on and it's worth dealing with his slumps for the times when he's lighting it up, especially since he always lights it up in the playoffs.

It's not so much that he sucks just because he's not scoring, it's more that we've all seen what he can do when he's on his game and when he doesn't bring that level it's frustrating. He hasn't really been that game breaking forward since that major.

One thing with Kreider this year. He is really focusing on his game away from the puck. You hear it in his interviews and post game comments. He is willing to sacrifice his offensive game to make the smart play in the defensive zone. He is trying to become a complete player. I am not worried about him. He has proved over the last 3 playoffs, he knows how to turn it on when it matters most. I guess I only have Pete on my side lol

How does AV, or for that matter Sather expect a JT Miller to develop if they keep scratching him. I don't give a damn if he makes mistakes, everyone makes mistakes there isn't one player on the Rangers or any other team that is omnipotent. If there were we' all be praying to him or them.

My take is AV doesn't want to admit that HE MADE A MISTAKE in encouraging Sather to sign him, and for three years, OMG, what fools these mortals can sometimes be...and especially when they are paid high salaries.

BTW, I would put Glass on waivers and send him down, if he clears.
I would also bring up Oscar Lindberg and Ryan Haggerty and send Fast down.

I agree with HankdaTank that JT is being jerked around and may indeed be moved...that would be a huge mistake.
Don't get me wrong, I believe AV is a good coach...but the power play needs to stop delivering telegrams...less standing still and more movement by the players would be a good start. The object is to get the opposition out of position that's how most goals are scored.

Didn't hit until now that Step had a SH, PP & ES goal for the Hatty, that doesn't happen too often

Not much love in here for Zuke this season ...
imo Zuke was one of the best Rangers last night.

Chill. AV just liked the matchup Stempniak provided better. Stempniak has more speed and can PK while JT Miller can't. Oh and by the way, the 2 reasons we won were PK and speed.

In terms of effort, Zucc has been one of the most consistent Rangers all year. And over the last 10-15 games, I'd say he's one of the most consistent point producers too.

I watched the game after work. I agree and disagree with about certain parts of this game. I thought the first 10 minutes of the game was an even game. Both team played well. Then from the 10 minute of the 1st period to the 10 minute the 2nd period, I thought the Rangers dominated the play. After that it was all devils. At least that's what I thought of the game.

It's happened 94 times to 75 different players between 1987 and 2012.

Take it for what it's worth but my friend's sister is a nurse in a hospital in the city and said that Miller was admitted in for alcohol poisoning on Christmas Eve....could be something to do with it.
