So i guess canadian coverage is going to ignore that the 3rd goal by Fabbri was 5 ft offside

Morin doing a solid job defensively. Saved a goal earlier. Making smart simple plays. Not bad.

There is a thirty minute show dedicated to Connor McDavid on the NHL Network right now

It was a real tear jerker. Not sure how he and his family were able to survive his tragic hand injury.

Think he could be used a bit more but that will come in the next few games.

I ment that he doesn't look to slow for this game or tournament. That's the knock I hear from my friends that are flyer fans.

Even with only 12 games this season with Rimouski you can see some improvements in his game.

Much simpler approach with some aspects that previously he'd try to hard to do or just wasn't good at

He's quite mobile for his size, but he's very raw in terms of his development.

this just in from my goalie group:

"Anthony Solararz just left the phantoms v bears game. Hit his head on the post hard and looked kinda shaken. Hope he's alright he had an excellent game going beforehand."

(frank)ing great.

They both hit him at the same time, he went right to the bench and took his time getting on to it while play was still going.

Soft goal?

He's still got a lot to work on, in terms of technique, positioning and feel.

Once this is over he can get into a better grove.......But nobody should expect him to even jump in to the NHL right away next year.

I'd have the same criteria for him that I did for Laughton-if he's playing as one of the best four defensemen in camp, I'd consider him. If he's making the team as a 6th guy, he's staying in the AHL

Stolarz contacted in the head and that jerked his head back into the post. Down and in pain. Leaves the game. Martin Ouellette replaces him.

I'd have that more for somebody on D then a forward. But I agree.

My criteria for Laughton was that he had to be one of the 9 best forwards in camp to get considered.

nope. raw bothers me the most.

when you say this, with respect to morin, what does he not do yet that still has him needing A LOT to work on in terms of all of those things? i get most guys need to learn the "feel" at the nhl level, mostly just in the speed of the game and making decisions with and without the puck. but when i read raw, and a guys been playing hockey for most of this life - what doesn't the guy know or have the ability to do? it's not like hockey is that complex of a game or that the position is that complex. not arguing or looking to fight, i genuinely often don't understand the usage of this term because it's generally not backed up with anything specific. can you elaborate?
