Was good to see a preview of what we will have in a couple years . They all played pretty good the first period and a half.

really liked what they brought to the table collectively and individually...

for the first half of the game, of course

Yeah I missed it . At 21. I would hope he would be improving his record from last season. Maybe a late bloomer.

I believe the team in front of him is not so great right now. The goalie can only do so much. I don't know if this is the case for sure though. Just what I've heard.

And on the road in Detroit, as you pointed in the blog boos. Solid future for the kiddies.

That could explain it . The one goal looked like he was staring into space.

Deslauriers needs to learn when not to cross the line. He walks right on it most of the time, but this is the second time he's fallen over it and it's cost us. Nolan kind of let it go after the Blues game. He didn't seem to pleased it happened again last night.

I see more Bergeron in his game, and that would be great if he turned out to be close to Bergeron.
- kingcong39

I see David Krejci. More of a set-up guy than a goal scorer

I don't even think that was necessary. If he wasn't ready physically to play due to having just gotten over being sick, go with Enroth again. They're off for 3 days for Christmas anyway. Wait and see how he's feeling on Saturday morning and make the decision about who to start that night. If he's still not right, go with Enroth again.

Just seems like a poor coaching decision if he knew that his strength wasn't right.

Rather than micromanage by assessing all the young players every second of every game, I am looking at things this way.

While the team is still getting caught in their own end for an extended period from time to time, it is not happening nearly as much as it did last year. Improvement.

The team overall seems to be able to hold on to the puck much more than they did last year. Improvement.

They are more aggressive in the offensive zone. The pressure they apply is greater from game to game and it is causing turnovers by the opponents. It is odd seeing them be able to actually get the puck back in the offensive zone this year as that was an impossibility last year. Improvement.

They are still getting outshot and their scoring chances are not great, but with the seeming improvement of the three items above, if they can improve the other 2 I mentioned while incorporating the prospects at the pro level, things will be moving in the right direction.

The only other thing I can think of is that maybe Enroth was starting to feel under the weather and they didn't have time to get someone else in town before the game.

Obviously we're not privy to all the information, so there could be more to it.

You need to change your avatar. I feel like when you made that your avatar, the Amerks started playing poorly. I'm horribly superstitious. Time to change it up!

Nothing wrong with being him although I'd like to see him produce a tiny bit more than Krejci does year to year.

And yet he is the one that stays with the club.
Classic tank move.
