Anyone got the 411 on BB? If it weren't for mups he would have been back by now, right? He can't be too far off, and man do do we need him... |

I'd rather Geno at center, that is where he is best. Getting a guy like Tlusty probably won't cost much more than Vermette. He is not healthy right now and hasn't had great numbers. I bet he could be had at the same price. - usethe1-2-2
In the old system, yes, I believe Geno was better at center. In this system, no.
And they simply have to get him out of the faceoff circle, he's atrocious this year. |

If I recall, he just started skating in full gear alone, so that usually means like 7-10 days.... But then the whole mumps thing... Prob another week now.
Maybe the sick time will help his knee heal? |

Not that I've heard. Think I saw somewhere they were going to announce it today though..
oh and this is interesting...I don't recall an official statement that Dupuis or anyone was on LTIR..

Ten teams are using LTIR to stay under cap. This season, only @penguins refuse to release details on who is on/off. #topsecret

Odd... Wonder if JR did that on Carolina, or if it's Botterill trying to hide his sorcery with the cap.

Yeah... 100% incorrect and you are a tad naive for even believing that.
It was announced VERY officially that Dupuis is on it. And Comeau is already been announced as on it. |

A re-torn labrum will never heal on its own, so it will eventually need surgery, however one can strengthen the joint and all the muscles around the shoulder so that it doesnt hinder ones playing ability...the main issue is that it takes time to rebuild that muscle and even once that done, it just takes one hit or one guy stronger than you or one unlucky play to reinjure, then youre down for the count again for x amount of time...
like I mentioned earlier, I got to the point where I would dislocate my shoulder playing, it would go back in within say 5-10 minutes and I could finish the game, however at that point you barely have any strength to do anything with that arm, once you dislocate it or seperate it once, it just keeps getting easier...so does maata heal and try to rebuild the strength and push the surgery back to the off season with a strong chance of reinjuring it, or does he do the surgery now and recover and heal for next season? its a 4-6 month long rehab... - JLT168
Dislocations occur to a completely different joint than separations. Separation is to the acromio-clavicular ligament. Which is the ligament between the clavicle and acromion process. Dislocations occur to the Glenohumeral joint. Not in the same ballpark. Or even the same league in terms of complications. Separations aren't nearly as big of a re-injury risk, because it doesn't involve a ball and socket joint. The main lasting effect of a separation is it leaves you with a clavicle that protrudes upward to a degree (depending on how severe it was), which may look a little funny, but it doesn't effect strength or mobility. Recovery time is also about 4-6 weeks for most separations. You almost never have surgery for a separation. |

We Pens fans should ask Santa Claus for an Indian Witch Doctor. Or some other vodoo-type medicine man, since clearly traditional medicine has never worked with this franchise. |

I find Lucic to be in the same cathegory as J.Staal. You know they are good players but you'll have to overpay to keep them. |

I'd like to throw out another name for trading and that is Cody Eakin. He is young and improving offensively. Plus, the Stars are struggling defensively. And he is in our price range. Any thoughts? His salary is 1.9 million per year, signed through next year. What would they expect in return? |
