Who's out now ehrhoff and who else? Isles beat them twice when they were healthy - chriscmc
Just pick a random name and say "is out with the mumps" and there like a 60% chance you'll be right. |

They're missing 12 bodies right now... plus a few were injured last night. |

Pens should be favorites but hopefully the defense is healthy come April. Everyone knows the playoffs are a different animal and I'm not quite sure you want to have half your D from Scranton out there come post season.
Not that guys like Harrington and Poulliot are bad, but with no playoff experience hopefully Mattaa, Martin, and Erhoff are good to go.

You mean the 8th place, struggling, wild card LA team is a favorite to win the Cup?
- StargateSG1
I know it's highly unbelievable since 8th seeds never go into the playoffs and go 16-4 and win a cup, or go back two years later as a 6th seed and win it again. |

Montreal really?????????? NO size to speak of Only the goalie is quality - holeinone
Montreal is slightly smaller than the league average in height, however is over the avg weight which slightly balances that out...they were a small team and a few players really bring the average down but they arent that small anymore on the whole. Take out Desharnais and i bet they are close to the average.
And i guess having a norris trophy winner on D and a 39 goal scorer on LW isnt quality these days. |

One regular season game doesn't mean squat. The Penguins are the team to beat in the east I think. I like what the Islanders have done but they aren't quite there yet. Montreal is simply not built for the playoffs. Tampa is good, for an eastern team but won't be able to match up depth wise with Chicago or LA. - woopstash
Really? Our depth is pretty damn good in all honesty, probably as good if not better than Chicago, or LA, its just a matter if all those lines and young guys can produce in the playoffs, which they haven't been doing in the past few weeks. We have some game breakers in Stamkos, Kucherov, Hedman, and Bishop. If we can play with a little bit of luck and consistency i think we can even compete with western teams. But thats a BIG if for the consistency, still a very young team. |
