One is a winger who can benefit off of Girgensons and Ennis creating chances, the other is a center who should be creating chances.

Armia is more NHL ready than Grigo IMO, Nolan wants to win games

- sbroads24

Maybe Gringo's improved play is what is making Armia NHL ready

He should be more NHL ready. He was playing in a men's league before he came to North America. He's also a few years older.

Armia is looking dominant with the puck, he's also very good on the back check.

He's the more complete player right now.

Wouldn't surprise me if he makes an impact right away and stays up.

agreed if they are worrying about long term health, esp beyond hockey then have no touch icing

they talk a great game about wanting to make the game safer, yet the number of brutal injuries caused from icing is insane

fix it or turn your back to it

the nhl has really been on the fence for so long and they really need to pick a path and stay on it

my 2 cents

- homiedclown

The slight modification they've made to the icing rule seems to have eliminated those big hits along the boards. I haven't seen anything crazy happen on an icing since they put the hybrid icing in.

They're doing the best they can to keep the game in the roots it came from while also trying to protect it's players. It's not an easy task. It's not hard for one of us to say that they should change this rule or that rule, but when you really sit back and look, for every one of us that says one thing, someone else is saying the opposite. They'll never be able to appease everyone.

Our 2014 2nd round pick, Vaclav Karabacek, was cut from the CZE WJC team because he overslept and was late to a team video meeting....

If I remember that was the exact reasoning for the rule.

I believe the Parros injury a few years ago sparked this, or maybe was the icing on the cake.

I only watched 2 rochester games this season

both games, gringo and armia looked like the 2 best players up front, by a wide margin

Ruhwedel was the only impact player on the back end

I did not notice pysyk, which is a good thing

mccabe looked brutal in 1 game, unnoticed in the other

the bottom half of the roster looked like an echl2 team

Pysyk was never supposed to go down to Rochester this year. That came from him getting hurt early in training camp and needing to get his back up to speed. They had said right from the beginning that they expected him to be in the NHL lineup this year, it was just a matter of having space for him at some point.

Honestly, as long as he keeps playing like he did on Sunday, I say waive Benoit if they need to clear space to keep Pysyk here.

If they wanted to keep Pysyk with the big club, why did they sign 3 vet d men to go with gorges

there was no way they were keeping 8 d men all season

unless the z thing threw a curveball at them

I'm excited to see what he can do tonight. My expectations are tempered being that the team is in a rough stretch as far as injuries and illness go. It'll just be nice to see if he can bring something to the table in this type of situation.

This and a combination of Strachan impressing them enough to keep him here. I think had Pysyk made it through camp without an injury, Strachan would have been waived. But they didn't have to do that because Pysyk could go down and get his preseason conditioning up in Rochester without having to clear. Right after they sent him down Nolan said that they wanted him to get his preseason stuff done there since he missed getting to do so here and then the plan was to get him back here.

Not being able to send Z to London put a wrench in that plan.

Mandela didn't know the ***licker.

GMTM has been brilliant in dividing up the talent - and the future roster - between BUF ROC, and juniors this year, so that none of those teams are really any good. Now, through pure coincidence, the BUF and ROC pieces are coming together in BUF. It'll be interesting to see whether they'll get a chance to gel, and if so, how they really turn out.

It sucks, but I can't really hold it against him. I'm sure when I was his age I overslept for things a few times.

We all did, but it's a question of WHAT THINGS you made a low priority.

Did you oversleep for a job interview? Or a meeting to discuss a promotion? Because that's what he did.

Hes one of the better players. You dont cut him if you have ambitions of winning the tournament. You bench him for a period or a game during group play, but you dont leave him at home all together.

Their program has a known certain anti-NA agenda to team selection.
