Lots of priorities for Lowe, MacTavish and Howson, first and foremost - would sending in their resignations immediately. These amateur jockers can not be ever associated with the game of Hockey at any level. |

I understand where MacT's head was when he put this tandem together; but at this point I don't understand how he hopes to even evaluate some of his talent without a solid backstop in place. Scrivens peaked at 59 saves, and that was 11 months ago. I think he has the chops to be a good number two, but it's time to bite the bullet and go all-in on Elliott/Niemi/Anderson. And Craig MacTavish, read my lips when I say, don't you dare come home with a Neuvirth or an Enroth. This is important, and you don't cheap out when something is important. I know the Oilers aren't contenders and you don't want to spend the bucks on a guy in his prime; but winning... Winning changes everything. Confidence, swagger... This is where you find success in sports. The kids you brought in for their offence aren't able to create because their ass puckers up every time the other team enters the zone with the puck. Play with the D and the centres all you want; but for the love of God, bring in a goalie ASAP.

I've watched every Oiler game this year and nearly all of them the past 8 years. Four years of seasons tickets included in those years. The goaltending for the most part has not been and is not NHL caliber. It is very plain to see that they will need to sign a legit number 1 goalie and add a couple of top notch D-men for next season. - HawkfaninBC
What do you want for Darling? |

Bad goaltending you say? No problem. Just trade for and draft more wingers. |

I'm not sure what is going to happen with the Hawks goaltending situation. Crawford is an excellent goalie with the high price tag to go with it. Raanta really looks like he could be a number 1 and Darling has looked great as well. You never know , they may move Crow to free up cap space. They need to resign Seabrook and Saad which will be costly. The Oilers should be talking to Stan B to get an idea as to what possibly may happen with them. I don't know who on the Oilers that would be a good fit for the Hawks except the obvious , Hall and perhaps Eberle. |

I hope Mac-T goes all in and sees what it would take to get Seabrook in the offseason. |

Seabrook makes up for Keith's mistakes . They are both great D-men , but really different types of player. It is true that they do compliment each other but I have seen Seabrook play many games without Keith and he is still awesome. |

Well , he would be a top paring guy on every team in the NHL so it would be costly. |

I'd be surprised if the Hawks dealt Seabrook. I'd look for the Hawks to clear cap room by trading Bickell and/or Sharp. |

I agree with you. They would be foolish to move Seabs . It will more than likely be Sharp and or Bicks. |

He is a 1 or 1A guy. Excellent shut down D, still young , can't see the Hawks moving him. |

see my above response. bolded tells us all we need to know, almost everyone's opinion on the Oilers, outside of the fan base, can be started with the same sentence. - SpoiledByOil
So the fact that both goalies are posting sv % well below career average coming into the season... That's not at all an indictment on your defence? Edmonton's goaltending has been brutal. But they're playing behind a terrible defensive team. Yes maybe the chances against aren't worst in the league but the Pilers are always playing from behind. Shifting most of the blame to goaltending is woefully shortsighted. |
