That show made me seek out other projects that Ian was involved in, but comparing anything else he's ever done against Al Swearengen is just so unfair.

In fairness to muckler, it should be pointed out that the 96 draft class was the worst draft class ever. Im sure that more than a few scouts from that year developed substance abuse problems

In theory, yes.

Let's wait on Grigs and Armia.

They could turn out to be the next Wayne Primeau and Luke Adam.

That was a great draft class. Tkachuk was taken 5 picks later. Probably what they were looking for in may. Brodeur was the pick after tkachuk- imagine if they drafted him. Probably no hasek.

Next week has so many people with 4 games. Too bad you can't select your team because there is a giant add over the area where you select players.

I truly believe that Murray did not want another Russian and that he preferred taking a Canadian there. I personally see Lemieux as a third line player but i guess that can change if he continues to put the puck in the net. Just hate taking third line players in the first couple rounds. SO heres to hoping hes more than that
- MCGUIZZY

I had the same concerns
However, he's developed his scoring quite nicely. With his all-out effort & gritty play, if he becomes even a 20g scorer in the NHL he'll be a top6 guy.
He's got a ways to go,
But I'm really liking how he looks so far.
He almost made the Sabres this year, so it just goes to show how the rest of his game is pretty much ready.
Let's hope he keeps it going

Barbashev has first line talent

Lemieux has the ability to be a pp beast

let's revisit the conversation in 4 years

- homiedclown

That's fair...
But Barbashev clearly has a higher upside, at least offensively
I think Murray went the safe route here
Lemieux should at least be a 15g, solid 3rd liner...
But you'll get the CONSISTENT effort night in & night iut that "scorers" don't seem to give u
He won't be a possible ppg guy like Barbashev COULD be
If Lemieux turns into a 25goal guy... Then we've got our Dustin Brown /Callahan guy
And no one will be upset about that

4th period has Hall to buffalo trade proposals that look like...
Myers, Hodgson, (a goalie), + a pick + prospect
That's a lot...
But I'm pretty sure I'd do it
As long as the 1st is from StL & the prospect is Larsson (or someone comparable)

Obv don't WANT to move Myers,
But I think Risto can play defense in the Top Pair on the right side & Pysyk can be our defenseman on the 2nd pair RH side

I especially make this trade if we pick 3rd
(Take Hannifin)

Staying with the prospect theme, everything I can find still lists Reinhart at 185 pounds. Anyone know whether he is bulking up in Kootenay?
