I won't believe any Kimmo rumors until our crack team of investigative reporters on the beat publish them.

I think Eklund had something about it in one of his previous posts.

I won't believe any of it until Timonen is actually out there.

I heard theres a good chance he'll need to take blood thinners for the rest of his life. If thats the case, his career is obviously over.

Also, MDZ needs to stop talking. Considering he was out on the street when the Flyers signed him, I think he needs to kind of STFU and wait his turn:

With that said, I'd like to see him back out there.

must be frustrating

he can learn from VLC

say what you want about Vinnie, but to me he is handling what has to be a very difficult situation like a true Pro

It definitely wouldn't be a bad idea if the Flyers added some more toughness, but have to be careful about it. Anyone can add a guy like Rinaldo or Rosehill, but still need to be able to play. Get a guy like Clifford, who is bigger, has toughness and can still play.

The fourth line being able to keep their emotions in check was a huge reason they won. Can Rinaldo make the two plays that VandeVelde did last night? Or does he go chasing after Byfuglien to avenge Giroux and give the Jets a 7 minute PP?

I honestly don't have a problem with anything Del Zotto said there, or think he was out of line in any way. I'd expect a player to be unhappy with sitting. If h wasn't pissed off about it, then there would be a real problem. I didn't have a problem with Del Zotto being scratched, because his game had faltered, but I think he should've gotten a chance to get back in by now.

Rinaldo might be back in time for tomorrow night's contest in Minnesota. That would be unfortunate timing for VandeVelde, whose relatives picked the game in the Twin Cities to drive to instead of Winnipeg. VandeVelde, 27, grew up in the middle of both NHL stops in Moorhead, Minn., across the river from Fargo, N.D.

ummmm why on earth would they make that decision ?

Voracek held deadlocked in a tight scoring race for most assists with bitter rival Claude Giroux. Expect there to be fire the next time these two get on the ice together.

If Berube "wants to get Del Zotto back in" but won't cause of how the D is playing, the same logic should transfer with Rinaldo to the 4th line.

Zac Rinaldo is to Craig Berube what Jody Hull was to Roger Neilson.

Some coaches just find their guy and that's it. They are playing no matter what.

"It's hard," Berube said. "I want to win."

Is that why he keeps throwing Umberger out there for massive minutes while other, better players get 5+ minutes less? Or how about why he keeps playing Coburn, and others, who have done as bad if not worse than MDZ?

I know Bill said the main reason MDZ is sitting out, is because he was roving too much. But as far as I remember, none of those times directly led to numerous goals. It should have been something to reign in, in the early stages, sure.. but 8 games as a healthy freakin scratch, when a guy like Coburn has been actively messing up? It seems him, and a few of the others get numerous chances to try and redeem themselves, while MDZ was a one strike and he's out..

I don't get it... and I don't blame him one bit for being pissed... It's like he messed up a little bit one time, and he sits. But these other guys go out there making turnovers, bad positioning, taking out our own goalies, taking bad penalties, not scoring or contributing anything, and they just keep playing.

I'm not saying MDZ didn't deserve to sit... but he DOES deserve to have another chance by now.. and Berube acts like the rest of the D is smelling of roses out there..

Well, the org doesn't have much invested in MDZ and frankly, MDZ has more to gain by not talking about being a healthy scratch. After all, he has no guarantees after this year with the Flyers and it would likely behoove him to come off like a good soldier and not like a petulant douchebag.

Looking forward to the Odell Beckham Jr./Bradley Fletcher matchup Sunday.

I guarantee Fletcher shuts him out. I will give anyone 10/1 odds if interested.

I don't think he came off like that at all.. he's pissed about not getting another chance. I'm fine with that. When reading the article, the "petulant douchebag" vision I was having, was Berube. It's getting frickin ridiculous, the way he's making his decisions. No rhyme or reason... The way he sits some guys, but then rewards others doing the same thing, with more ice time... or throws Vinny in as a "last chance", and puts him on the 4th line... or the way he bobbles Rinaldo and VdV... the way he handled Akeson.. I question just about every decision he makes anymore... I mean, I've just about had it with him. It took me awhile to roll around on the "fire Berube" train, but I'm here.

OBjr is going to make Fletcher into minced meat next week. And I hope he does. I cant wait until he and Kary Williams are no longer an Eagles. They are the worst corners I've ever seen.

Just because a fan doesn't agree with a decision, doesn't mean that the decision is made without rhyme or reason.

i don't think he comes off that way. he's unhappy about not playing, and he should be. he was asked, and he answered honestly. it's not like the guy was just going around yapping. what he said is no different than vlc griping.
