I'd say they're better than 50%, especially for Morin.
- Jsaquella

I agree.

I think Morin is almost closer to 75% if he has another good camp.

Things changed with Ghostisbeire because of the injury. I know he will have a whole offseason but they might ease him back depending how many games he gets this year at the end of the season.

Also I know they are winning but I do see Hextall moving a player like Coburn if the right deal comes along.

Yeah, A guy like Clifford or Prust would be nice. I don't know if Rinaldo chases Byfuglien. That may be out of his leauge. I could see Rosehill having a couple shifts with him, and that is all we would need. You could see the Jets just trying to hammer Giroux. Someone has to do something.. This is the Flyers. I don't recall Rosehill taking a lot of stupid penalties ( that was Hartnell and Rinaldo). I do recall Rosehill going out and winning a couple fights last year while this team was down and he gave them life.
Not saying he is the saviour but with guys like Valveeta and Zombie in lineup every night it wouldn't hurt to put Rosehill in once in awhile

- 3flyerkids

Rosehill is generally disciplined, but a limited player.

The trouble is, Byfuglien would never fight Rosehill. He'd laugh and skate away. As tough as Rosehill is and as good a fighter as he is, those guys simply do not deter anyone from taking a run at star players.

White can be a solid guy in a limited role. I do wonder if he's headed to the AHL for rehab
- Jsaquella

He could be.

See I think White is closer to a brandon prust then a Rinaldo so I think he could give some solid minutes.

Byfuglien is like Phaneuf a little. They don't fight when challenged but will go with someone lesser. I think in the Toronto game i saw Simmonds challange Phaneuf in the third but he wanted nothing to do with it.

It will depend on how close they are at the trade deadline. If they're in 4th place and 2 points out at the deadline, no way they deal Coburn.

But they also have most of the guys I'd be shopping signed or under control for next season, so they can also do some things at the draft.

There's zero reason for Byfuglien or Phaneuf to fight a guy like Rosehill, unless he's attacking their best player. The five minute trade off isn't worth it.

What bugged me, in terms of physicality last night, was that instead of fighting Byfuglien, why did nobody find Bryan Little or Evander Kane or Blake Wheeler along the boards? One way you can deter a guy from running your stars is to use the old Cold War strategy-you run our meal ticket, I'm going to try and put your guy in the hospital-is effective.

The 4th line was much more dangerous offensively with Rinaldo replaced by VdV.

He may not fight him but you never know. Byfuglien is a big guy who was taking advantage of his size last night. Someone on our team has to be there to stand up to these guys.

Agreed.

I would like to see Del Zotto get back in though. I know MJL loves him some MacDonald but I just don't see it.

Yes the Flyers should have " took a run" at some of their players. But we didn't! This team needs some toughness. I would liked to have seen Simmonds lay out Wheeler or Kane. I bet you Hartnell would hammered someone for sure.

It's not that MDZ is leaps and bounds better than the guys playing now. He was having a rough patch, and I get why he was benched. But there's plenty of other guys struggling to find their games.

There's not really anyone playing well enough for me to say, "Oh yeah, he is definitely giving the Flyers a better chance to win than MDZ would!" I think Berube prefers the size. But Byfuglien ran amok last night and the bigger tough defensemen didn't respond much to it.

I think L. Schenn made a comment like that in the Carolina game when someone hit Gioux, Schenn said then he is going to hit Gerbe.

Oh I agree with that. If they run Giroux you run Little. I was just saying Byfuglein and Phaneuf seem to only pick fights they can win.

Also I know people are mixed on him but boy Kane could look nice on one of our top 2 lines. he can fly.

And watching u can really see laughton start to be really confident. He is now really engaging himself in games and playing his style like taking a run at Van Reimsdyk on the boards. Seems the edge is starting to come out.

I'm not saying to take penalties, but deliver the hits you have an opportunity to deliver.

If you got a bead on a guy and can pop him a split second after he passes, well, go pop him, knock him on his ass.

That said, Giroux pinning him and letting Jake score the winner should hurt Big Buff more than any hit that a Flyers skater delivered.

On the negative, Byfuglien was a significant defensive liability when the chips were down in the game. For all the good plays Byfuglien made, he was a direct culprit on the Flyers' first and fourth goals and was a secondary culprit on the third Flyers' goal.

Sure hope we trade some youth for him to solidify our blue line.

I know. I just think he brings more of a skill that could be useful then MacDonald.

Last night did Read seem to be handling a hand gernade. He seemed to not be able to handle anything his way

I'd like Evander Kane and Byfuglien. Kane is a talented kid, who has size and can play physical, but who also can turn on the jets and fly and score goals. He's immature, but he's got a great package of skills.

Byfuglien is what he is. He's going to have his issues in coverage and make mistakes in his own end. But he's also a big, dynamic guy who can drive play and keep the puck away from opposing teams. Sure he had defensive breakdowns last night, but so did Nick Schultz, Andrew MacDonald and Luke Schenn.

I wonder if Berube gave him a good jab for allowing Giroux to run him off the puck. Ala Schoenfeld and Koharski. (sp I know)

An all round " physical game" is missing from this team. Finishing checks, aggressive forechecking, body checks, physical play along the boards....these are elements the Flyers do not do well. Some of it has to do with personel we are dealt.

I think i would stll take Bogossian. I know the injury history scares you but he has the size and tools and is young enough to anchor a top pair.

Kane I would take even with the issues. He provide the whole package of skill and physicality.

How good has he been all year? Maybe a handful of games where he has showed up at best. Is he a guy you can trade for a gritty guy who can play hockey

Nice win, but vinnys back is still a broken slinky. His skating is lumbering at best and he's a drag on whatever line he's on. He will not go on a hot streak, he needs a heating pad though. Flyers gunning for the 12th pick

Some of it is personnel, but there's guys on this team that can be and have been more phsyical in the past
