But it is a huge step forward. Eichel will be a franchise player the other three wont.
I am not suggesting to do it, I am just pointing out it could be done - VANTEL
There's no guarantee's though, Eichel is not a sure thing, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush my friend. |

I think you need two 90 percent of the time, it's pretty much a non-starter if you don't have strength down the middle of the ice. - LeftCoaster
They elevate your wingers abilities and if strong defensively they make the job of your D a lot easier. If you are certain that a young center can be that type of player i'd trade anything to get it. |

PP spends way to much time setting up. With what we have I think they should go with Burr Ha.nk and Vrbata as the forwards . Our D sucks so Jensen Tanev on the point.
I know some will say Edler, but cmon the guy scores less than a senior who gets a boner once a year . - VANTEL

They need someone with a Sammy Salo mentality, fire that (frank)in thing from back there at all costs, stop trying to get the perfect shot…let it go!!!! - LeftCoaster
We may have to wait for Subban for that |

Bjugstad was picked at 19th overall FYI, not sure what you mean by his "type"? He wasn't picked top five and he was drafted five years ago, this is his first year where he's doing something. If we wouldn't have traded our first round pick away for Ballard, thanks Gillis, some guys we could have drafted in the late first early second were;
Charlie Coyle
Emerson Etem
Brock Nelson
Devonte Smith-Pelly
Tyler Toffoli
Justin Faulk
Evgeny Kuznetsov
Any one of those kids would be helping us right now!! I guess what I'm saying is you don't have to finish bottom five to compete. - LeftCoaster
Wondering what Kassian would have been like with more time in the AHL. The org has to get on track with draft picks and development and stop rushing players into roles they are not ready for.
Unless we are trading youth for youth, we have to stop trading away the future for now.

I just want them to hit the net. Hell Cam Barker barely had anything that could be classified as a shot but he hit the f@cking net. |

I agree, there is a gap there for changing the guard (first line) that needs to be addressed at some point. When do you do it sooner or later, Buffalo for example has their candidate waiting in the wings right now, and probably another coming at the end of the season. Horvat, Shink etc, etc? Nope. Tick tock.

Its not going to hurt anything. I think the guy has a real fire burning right now. The thing is he may be a goon type but the guy has NHL speed and can play. |

I think the best career move for Sestito would be to learn to play D |

If that's the case trade him, teams are looking for D. He was drafted in the 3rd round, we picked him up on waivers. What is his value?
