He criticized what's going on in the dressing room instead of trying to fixed things. Why would you want to play for someone who criticized your work when he can't even do it better?

How do you know he didn't try to fix things

He is calling out guys to be better teammates w/o using names.

I think more of that is needed by him.

I wouldn't respect someone if they treated all my mistakes like they were no big deal. The fact that Ference had the courage to stand up and say that on tv made me respect him even more.

He most certainly tried to fix the room, he came from a tight room in Boston where they held each other accountable. There is only so much you can say to someone before you need to find a drastic method of getting through to them.

That's a bit harsh. I've always thought the best captains had the talent and ability to get it done to go along with their example and work ethic, sadly Ferrence does not but then none of the talent on the team has the work ethic.
As for speaking up about the morale and attitudes, I have no problem with it, but only as a last resort, after plenty of talking about it privately. Are suggesting Ferrence did not make the efforts prior to that? I don't have access to the room so I don't know either way.

Yeah, I agree with 100% of that. All I was calling out was the way you treated people haha. I only think jb and Alexoil need that kind of treatment on a regular basis. The others don't last long enough for me to even care about. Although some quickSCF guy was pretty bad
- edmhatescal

Is there another poster on here I treat worse than the family Dog (JB) and our mentally retarded step-cousin (Alex)?

And how exactly should this Spidercockstar fella be handled?

Bruins players doesn't deserve respect except Bergeron, Seidenberg, Krug, Rask, Hamilton and Krejci.

Ference was name captain because he does what Horcoffs does off the ice.

Yeah I don't love Ferrence as Captian. I would have gone with Smyth at the time. Not sure who the best option is on the Oilers. Certainly not Hall or any of the Superkids. I kinda like Perron as Captain, but again, I have no idea if he is respected in the room.

The kid just doesn't have a grasp on the culture of our little Internet community, or his role within it.
When he's earned his stripes going to war with the Trolls, Jabronis and idiots like the rest of us his opinion might matter.

Probably a Habs fan, but we'll never know because he doesn't have the courage to list his team on his profile.

Ference was probably the best choice as Smytty wasn't expected to be around very long. There is nobody on this team who screams leader to me, we might be better served by trading for one.
