Meh. Forsberg wasn't in conversation for 1st overall so I don't see why we'd be bothered. Same way we're not bothered by Nuge over Hamilton of Yak over Galchenyuk. Hindsight is 20/20 and, at the time, Yak was the consensus top prospect by a fair margin. The only reason Murray was even close was because he was a Dman which the team was in short supply of at the time. He's not exactly proving the Oilers wrong, though.

But knowing your history, you're probably not here for a civil debate on the topic, so you can feel free to carry on your way.

The entire notion that Mac T kept the Centers on the farm from Eakins is kinda rediculous. Dont you think the call ups and downs were more coach driven anyway? Or do you actually beleive it went like this:
Eakins: Mac, I need a Center. Can we give Lander a look?
MacT: no. You can have Hunt.

I don't troll I just tell things how it is. Today I was seriously asking because as a Hab fan (and kings) I was hoping for forsberg all along and now even more pissed. But Galchenyuk is having a little better season than yakupov so you guys must really be pissed. That is the year all experts thought you should of traded down and few spots and acquired a defenseman. Like swap with Habs for beaulieu, another prospect and #3 overall. Or with islanders for harmonic or de hann plus #4 overall

MacTavish has been involved in every single roster decision or indecision all year. He isn't there to do what the coach wants. The two work together. While Eakins was running the bench he didn't feel strongly enough like the Oil needed help down the middle from the farm to do anything. When he took over he immediately added help even with a healthy contingent of Centers.

The Eakins PC should have been enough to show how involved MacT is with the Coach. There is no reason to try and insulate MacT from his past decisions. It all counts against him.
