For the first 7 min E. Kane is all over the place.
Stick lifts, neutral zone play, goes to the net, battles on the walls....... |

How is Berglund doing? Is he guy that can help the Oilers Center depth as a 2nd or 3rd liner? And what's up with MPS? |

Hey...serious question for you?
Everyone overvalues there players........personally I'm not a huge fan of Lucic though.....
But what would you give up for Lucic?
If your going to say some pointless prospect or Parron then don't bother....but the Oilers are high on Lucic and Hamilton......
I wouldn't trade Hamilton...period.
But where do you see Lucic's value at compared to your top guys? |

I would offer up Eberle for sure. Perron is a better trade though if you ask me, brings a bit more Bruins type grit than Ebs,and has a lower cap hit. He's probably as good an asset as Lucic, but not as famous and not on a great team so.....but if you'll take Ebs I'll even throw in a medium winger/Defensive prospect like Mitch Moroz ( who has an awful lot of what the Bruins like) or Juhar Kharia |

I know we are all supposed to hate Bart.....but he has looked pretty good this game.
He is a good top four maybe three in a couple years.
Wonder the patience they will have with him with all the kids we have though? |

Thank you.
That's about where I would put him too.
The Bs are stuck in the middle right now though, as you said, about there style.
We need someone that has skill and can score goals.....BUT.....many people want to simply get bigger and think that fixes our problems.
A player like Ederle AND then grabbing a bigger guy for the third line would be my preference. Like the guy from Van, Zach Kassian, maybe.
On a serious note.
I think a guy like Lucic and an Ericksson, regardless of cost right now, would INSTANTLY change the culture of your team and give them direction.
Lucic Hopkins Parron/Eberle........fricken awsome. |

Agreed. You would love Mitch Moroz tho. Probably top out as a 3rd liner but he's big, tough, fights , hits and has decent hands. Won a memorial cup last year with the Oil Kings.

I'm wondering where the GMs are right now as far as pulling the trigger......seems like they are all too scared to pull the trigger yet.
Going to be a crazy season with trades this year though....I can feel it in my bones. |

I hope so. From an Oilers perspective we need sellers, teams looking for youth . Contenders won't help us and losers have nothing to offer. |

Good thing G Campbell was out there for the last 2 mins of the game.......he is such a game changer.
15 points out of last place.....
14 points out of first place......
Which one are we "really" closer too....? |

What sucks the most is that I think everybody out here thinks this team is waaaaaay better than it is.
We had some players reach there peak when it mattered most....i.e. Kelly, peverly, Paile, Campbell, Horton, Marchand, Lucic, Ryder........
Now we just assume that these players will improve and get better.........REALITY IS.......we had our stars align.....and have had most our players digress instead.
Ugh.......
Would Edmonton give it's first rounder for Lucic....?
We are not good. |

Come on man. The laughable Oilers are on a collision course with Connor McDavid....

Why did Paille not take that shot with about 2:50 on the clock? Instead he tries to make a pass that had zero chance of connecting. |

We had a player named pj axelsson a decade ago....I loved him BUT he couldn't puck the puck in the net if his life depended on it.......
D Paille is the "Stone Hand's Jr" of the Bs legacy.........PJ's spirt lives on in Paille.......
So...to answer your question......even if he shoots the puck it doesn't go in......BUT he is great defensively!

PJ was better defensively than Paille,.. I always said if you could put his heart and effort into Joe Thortons body.. you'd have the next #99 |
