I can get into Keith and the x-pensive winos any day of the week

- homiedclown

Amen. There are drummers who won't play for him because his timing is so much better and so far steadier than theirs.

Watch. He's always "in the pocket"

That's what I hat about radio and stuff, how they completely overplay stuff. I find hearing some of these songs now that were overplayed when I was younger to be enjoyable - Alanis Morisette (sp?), Smashing Pumpkins, etc.
- stashu

It's pretty painful to listen to any radio station anymore because of the repetition. They are on a two hour loop, within those two hours you will here the same song at least twice. And if you drive at the same time every day its the same damn songs.

I should probably get satellite radio.

And that's what sucks about it is losing interest in her music because she was played what seemed like every 5-10 songs. Even then I knew it was good, but just couldn't stand hearing it.

Yep... I liked it the first 100 times they played it on the radio in a week... after 1,234,314 it was like nails on a chalk board (just like all songs on the radio today). And they were my favorite band back then.
- jochfr

Yea, perhaps I simply didn't listen to the radio enough back then.
Could be.

honestly, 80% of the music channels there are just as bad
instead of the same 100 tracks you get the same 200 trackes

dead channel, deep tracks, jam on, coffee house are the best 4 music channels

I haven't listened to radio in years, for that reason. Any exposure I get to new music comes from TV/movies, the kids or the ball and chain.

if girgens is a number 2 and reinhart is a number 1, the pieces are in place with a top 4 d

I think girgens is a number 2, I did not think that before this season
Not sure if reinhart is a number 1, but if you add Hall to the mix, reinhart is given what he needs to be a number 1

Exactly why I have 94.5 (classical music station) here in Buffalo always tuned in on the FM side of the radio dial.
No repetition and it keeps my blood pressure low when I drive.
I just love the instrumentals and the wonderful unique sounds of each instrument, so peaceful.
Insert nodding head emoticon here.

I hooked up an iPhone/iPod/iPad thingymcbobber to my CD player in my car (2005) so I can listen to my iPhone when I get sick of the radio. Now I'm sick of the music on my iphone.

I just need another option and satellite might be it.
I listen to Electronic mostly (although I listen to almost everything) and I've listened to some channels on satellite but most of those are average and not really geared towards my sub-genre. That was a few years ago so it might be different now. I need to look into it again.

Edit: We did get a new radio station in Nashville that is Alternative that I like but I'm sure the repetition will start to get on my nerves.

Spent a week with a bunch of buds on Buttonwood Key in 1985 listening to CCR and making our way through a very big package of peyote.

Still swear I saw Spider monkees in those woods

Civil War IMO was their best
The Illusion cd's are as good as any cd that has come out in the last 35 years IMO

Due to it's length, November rain was perhaps the best all time stripper song though

- homiedclown

Civil War is one of my all time favorites.

I don't think that was even the best ballad on the illusions cd's

the most under-rated GNR song is

Better add Queen to that group . You would not believe how many musicians I worked with over the years said Queen was the band that made them get into music. Axl Rose , Nikki Sixx , Fred Schneider from B52's to name a few.
- Maximum Signal

David spade was talking about how much he loved queen when he was like ten years old- he said "these guys are awesome, they must get so much puxxx!"
