Do we even know for sure its a back injury?
- BiggE

Flyers will issue that Mason suffered a body injury. Day-to-day.

I have a game-used Roussell stick that my dad grabbed out of the trash from the old Coliseum when they practiced there. Had a hairline fracture that just got retaped on the blade.

You are now 20 seconds older than you were before reading this.

Well, unless Frank Seravalli got his doctorate instead of chasing 17 year old tail in Sea Isle this summer, I'm going to be optimistic. I get spasms, they suck, but they generally go away and with a good chiropractor, the injury can be no big issue at all

Of course this IS the Flyers, so:

Day 1: Mason has an LBI, and is being evaluated
Day 2: Mason is day to day with back spasms
Day 5: Mason will likely need back surgery, we're gonna wait and see
Day 10: We are sad to report Steve Mason died today, his return this season is doubtful

Day 13: We are glad to announce that team doctors were surprised to see Steve Mason very alive and coherent attending his funeral ceremony. It appears that it was only a pinched nerve, not death.

Can't wait for the injury announcements.

-Mase went down today, being evaluated, but it isn't believed to be serious
-Mase misses the next few games, called day to day with a LBI
-Mase takes a "routine maintenance day" sometime next week; Hextall makes nothing of it and reassures us he's still day to day and is working to get back into games
-Later that day, twitter starts reporting Mason is to see a specialist
-Hexy shoots down the rumors
-The next day, twitter explodes Mason is to miss 1-2 more weeks with back spasms; specialist evaluation finds nothing of major concern. Hexy schedules a press conference and makes it official.
-In 5 days, Mase hits the ice and reports he's "feelin good"
-3 days after that, rumors are swirling he might be able to hit the ice for a real life game very soon
-After 3 games of being a "game time decision" and being out in warmups for all 3 of those games, he misses the following practice for another "maintenance day"
-Hexy reassures us it was routine and he's feeling fine
-The next day, Hexy shares with the world Mason is to miss the next month and a half with back spasms

I want to laugh but its just too (frank)ing plausible

On the bright side a top 3 pick is looking much more likely

On the dark side, our best goalie since our GM played might have chronic back issues
