If you look up "playoff bubble team" in the Smart Person dictionary that all friends of #FancyStats keep, the Flyers are prominently pictured.

Talent wise, if the Flyers make the playoffs again, it's a small miracle.

Once again....did you all see how fast that team played? Did you see how their blueline could move the puck?

We can't do that as we don't have the players to do that.

They are tough to watch. I agree.

On the other hand, I'm watching for BSchenn and Couturier to develop. Watching Laughton is fun....that kid obviously gives a (frank) how he plays.

This team's blue line is an obvious disaster and is holding this team back in a big, bad way.

When there is more actual talent here....then, we can all point and laugh at Berube. But until then, this team can't get the puck out of their zone because they are too lumbering and slow.

10th consecutive SO loss. I am sure they are near the bottom of the rankings since it came into the league.

Say what you will about it being dumb, but its bleeding points away.

- flyer_nutter

In fact they are the worse team. Including last nights game they are 27-56. That's a whopping 32.5 % for wins. Ranked 29th is FLA 45 - 66 40.5%.

i think thats stretching the limits of potentiality.

he managed to come very close to missing the net despite literally somehow finding himself behind the goalie in the crease.

Appalling to say the least. I think Berube is the perfect man for the job... to get us a top 3 pick!

I don't even care about that. He wont be here long term, but when continuously we see low ice time for young kids, Guss, Akeson, Laughton, Ghost and far too much given to useless warm bodies its disturbing. In a rebuild time, even if the organization is too stupid/proud to admit that.. I don't like it.

I don't get his frame of mind.

Snider in Early December

“All teams are having cap problems. We’ll find a way to work around it. In the meantime, that’s not the issue. The issue is that we have pretty much the same team as last year, and we’re not performing. We’re hoping they can turn it around. We have two of the best forwards in the league, but two players can’t turn around a team. What’s going on with everybody else? What’s going on with Couturier, Read, Simmonds, and the other guys? They should be chipping in with some goals. It’s weird. I’m not going to give up on those guys. Even Lecavalier got 20 goals last year. What happened?”

And right here is your mother (frank)ing problem. Starting at the very (frank)ing top.

thats harsh. theres no shame in losing, and i wouldnt blame fans for being loyal. caring about the team despite being crappy is a good quality.

ill always laugh at the people who will straight faced tell me that the team went down the drain ever since they got rid of carbomb.

I'm not sure i follow. I would like to think I'm a loyal fan. My point was that if you changed the current squad's jerseys, and my team was playing them, There are a number of easy targets

I think Hexy looks to add some skill to this group over the next two years. Even at 5 on 5 its an issue. Adding a sniper, fancy stick working type at LW would be huge for this team.

Have you ever seen so many players make the same mistake against the same goalie in the shootout- getting in too close and allowing a poke check, lose the puck or not have the lateral movement from just far enough out. Tell me those hands were not gripping the stick into sawdust.....

I have to agree with you on this. If anything, Laughton shouldbe getting far more time than his 12 mins and RJ should be backed off. It might be a case of if they scale RJ back or sit him, it will make the org look even more foolish for having dealt him for Hartnell?? I don't know... Other than that, I've got nothing. I think by the time they return from the road trip, it'll be clear that we're sellers and we need to ship out veterans for picks in this draft and play the kids.

I was watching hockey central yesterday and they flat out said that the Flyers aren't very good at all this year, and the Leafs should walk all over them Saturday and I agree on both counts. I'm always hoping for them to win, but watching them play rght now is painful. No spark or life in their game. Seems like they're just going through the motions. feel sorry for thse who have to watch it live.

I really think Snider knows that it's going to take a few years to fix this because of the D situation. Hexy inherited a lot of these issues and we've got to be patient and let him re build like he helped do in LA.

I know they aren't.. but if the argument was "they're tanking", they better be full on board with the idea and go all in on the plan. But we all know that isn't the case, so it comes down to Berube being incompetent and a horrible coach. This whole frickin situation is messed up...
