You were impressed with Rinaldo as a defenseman in 2008?
- jmatchett383

I thought you were referring to Coburn

Yep. He could be. On the high end, you have the Crosby/Ovechkin/Tavares/Kane types (elite superstar types). Then you have the Lecavalier/Thornton/Johnson/Hall/Kovalchuk/Nash types (superstar players, but maybe not players to build around). Then you have the Berard/Jovanovski/Daigle/Stefan/DiPietro types (fine players, possible All-Stars, but well short of career expectations).

Like I said, I'll take the sure thing.

I hear ya and I don't totally disagree either. A lot of things could happen.

Absolutely. But I don't think you'd get that offer, so if I had the pick, I'd keep it.

That's something egocentric. "I see things the way they are, and anybody who doesn't have the same opinions is biased."

You can't use that unless you're arguing the merit of analytical stats.

I was really hoping the Voracek debate would lead to more fighting. Instead, we had a logical discussion. I'm disappointed

If the Flyers continue to play like they are now this is how i see the TDL:

Coburn - available to playoff team needing top 4

Read - available to playoff team needing top 9 depth

L. Schenn/Grossmann - available as they could help playoff team needing to upgrade defense depth or PK for a playoff run.

Del Zotto - Could help a team needing some offensive from the back end but might not bring back a lot.

Rinaldo - available to a team wanting to get some speed and physicality on 4th line.

Vinny/Umberger - available to anyone who wants them

Simmonds - available to playoff team needing to upgrade top 9, physical ly and PP. Only moving if it gets me a 1st rounder and high end prospects close to NHL ready. I know it's not popular and the package coming back would have to be great. Example: Simmonds to Vancouver for 1st rounder, Jake Virtanen and cole cassels. Something like that.

Emery - Avaible to team needing veteran for back up in playoffs.

I know you can't do them all but i think the right trades could land valuable assets and let this team be able to restructure the team quickly.

It's not that you're a troll, it's that you're incredibly negative about all aspects of the team and you just poop on the same players daily and it's really (frank)ing annoying.

Well, I don't know, maybe that's a troll.

My nose is big too. I have horrible post nasal drip as well. I wish I could trade it in for a better nose like Michael jacksons

This is a big shift in stance from "Truth hurts. I dont wear orange tinted glasses. I see this team and their players for what they are."

You were impressed with Rinaldo as a defenseman in 2008? I thought you were talking about him, guess it was Coburn (you kinda jumped around). But if it's Coburn, his best play was the 2010 SCF where he was arguably our 2nd best defenseman.

I wouldn't trade Simmonds. And if the Flyers weren't moving him for the 1st overall (in a weak draft, granted), I doubt they'd do it for a 15-30 pick this year.

Also:
"L. Schenn/Grossmann - available as they could help playoff team needing to upgrade defense depth or PK for a playoff run."

Is this how you truly feel?

I give credit where credit is due. I have praised the play of the few players on this team performing well. Right now this team is in the dumps and myself and many others want changes made.
