well the Sox won 3 World Series in the last decade after almost 9 decades of nothing. the fans owe them some patience. not to mention that the moves they are making are very good.

also the Bruins have done quite well in last 5 years after one the darkest chapters (the 90's and early 2000's) in their history. they've totally changed the perception and culture of the team. are they off to a lousy start? sure. but you need to either get over it or at least trust they'll turn it around at some point. because they will.

Come on man......

The Red Sox have not made the playoffs 4 of the last 5 years and I think they were last or close to last in the division in those four years.

If you asked anyone with a brain, the owners and management even admitted it, they were EXTREMELY lucky to win the World Series two years ago.

Think about that.......they have the highest ticket prices and in 4 of the last 5 years they haven't fielded a competitive team!

whatever. 2004, 2007,2013.

and 07 they've won 95, 95, 89, 90, 69, 97, and 71 games. They've not been competitive in two of the last 7 seasons. and the ticket prices are what they are due to the size of the stadium coupled with the amount they spend every year. they always spend money.

i can't imagine what you'd be like if you were say a Padres or Sabres fan.

In regards to the Bs......they are at a cross road right now.

I love the depth at center when healthy I think it's likely tops in the NHL, minus Campbell but his is likely his last year.

I also love the depth on the blueline, most people love to bash them for a weak D, but Dougie IS a replacement for Chara and in a year or two be an elite D man.

Seindenberg a contract is a steal, but other than Chara and Seindenberg we are VERY young and talented on the backend.

I think we are supper stacked at goalie......Rask is a top 5 goalie,, usually, Svedberg is a young stud that won the AHL's version of the Vezina two years ago, and we got Subban whom is considered a top goalie prospect in North America.

But.......we have a whole bunch of second and third line wingers on this team......too many grinders and two way players.

We loss in the playoffs usually because of one thing....scoring, against the Canes, the Caps, last year against the Habs.

You mentioned the 90's and even the last two decades......when we have scorers we trade them or let them walk, like Allison, Thorton, Oates, etc.....

As a seasoned Bs fan you have to realize we have all said the same thing for years.......we need scorers....."we need a snipAr".......

Maybe they get one....I hope they get TWO......but from what I'm reading and hearing the guys we are looking at are not going to help us burry the puck.

You really are a hard core Boston Homer aren't you?

Do you listen to the radio, watch games, read articles, etc.....

You are an amazing specimen of a "nothing to see here, everything is fine" kinda guy.

Let me ask you this......if everything is so peachy and great why bother coming onto this blog and ONLY BASHING people with concerns?

What's the point?

Have you ever read the blogs for Habs, Hawks, Nucks, fans?

Hard to think you have seeing that there fans and posters are FAR MORE critical then anyone in these posts?

It's impossible to have a conversation in these posts......mind numbing.

I completely agree. This team has some big time issues coming down the pike and breaking up the core could get them some pieces to extend their window. They need help in a big way and the attitude that getting Chara back and a less than healthy Krejci isn't going to get this team where most of the fans think they should be.

I'm starting to think the lose of Jim Benning is starting to show with some of the smart signings they made in Vancouver and how the Bruins are in cap hell.

We can't extend Lucic if they want to resign any of the RFAs. DOES ANYONE HAVE AN OPINION ON THIS?

I'm a Huge Bruin Homer BUT I Do not and Will Not drink the Kool-Aid, sorry but Sinden ruined it for me.
They NEED to add an offensive Talent (someone like Seguin ) Yes That's Right F U I'm not letting that one go, it will kill this core going forward
Chia needs to make up for that one. and not on the same level but the Boychuk one too, that sucked too

Onus is on you Chia

B's have made some really dumb trades the last few years. (even before that too, but they have been getting worse). I also was blown away by how stupid the Seguin trade was, but not much can be done about it now. Wasn't a huge fan of the Wheeler trade either, but at the time, it seemed to work out for both teams. I agree, the team needs more talented players, and they are not the cup winner they were in 2011.

That being said, if we choose to keep Lucic, some decisions will need to be made. I personally am indifferent about him. Love him when he plays like he is supposed to, but post-lockout, I have been in large part disappointed with his play. It is very clear, that without Krejci, he is not nearly as good.

I do not think that we need to go into rebuild mode. However a blockbuster trade (one that actually returns a high valued sniper with room to grow) is what we need. I am timed of seeing these stopgap trades that have ensured nothing more than mediocrity.

That's the thing with Lucic, he seems to have hit his ceiling the year he broke out and hasn't improved since......

Don't get me wrong, I think he is a good player but it think he would improve drastically from a wake up call by being traded....kinda like Kessel...like Thorton......like Seguin.....

If Lucic gets traded and is "the guy," the leader of a team, I think he can grow into a player we have only seen here and there....more consistent.

I agree....but would you do a Oshie for Ericksson...?

I would.

Offense for possession and two way play.

If they were to trade Lucic, which personally I think they should because I don't think he is worth an extension after this season, too inconsistent.

It better be for another big time player.

i never said they didn't have problems. i'm just losing sleep over it or wanting to post 75 word rants about it. and as far as cap hell, it's because of Iginla. how many times do we have to say it?
