So far I think we have just found a more entertaining way to lose. This core needs a huge facelift. We are falling back into our same old habits

Same thing as last season and about this time too.

Very very difficult to make changes in today's NHL world, but I'd do agree, this team NEEDS changes!!!

Trust me friend , we see year after year how hard it is, but they have to find ways and be creative. I dont think fans will accept a mediocre season again

Best of luck to Miller and Vancouver.

I pick up Elliot as a starter and a week later he goes down. I wheel and deal to pick up Mason to replace my starts and being on my team day one he goes down to injury. I am like the black plague for goalies.

Those NTC Gillis contracts are a real source of frusration at the moment! Guys like Bieksa, Burrows, Higgins, etc need to be moved.

Athough the Sedins are still the best players on the team, their four year deals at 7 million per will handcuff the team in a couple of years.

Gillis is an idiot!!!

Might be longer. Our core is our core because they are all virtually untradeable. Between NTCs and bad contracts, they're locked in. Hamhuis could bring a decent return and Bieksa would bring something, but the rest will bring mid round picks at best, if they can be convinced to waive.

I don't mind if Burrows and Higgins bring back 3 rd round picks . It gives us the roster space and cap room to pick up a Foligno or Boychuck in the summer.

Drafting high is NO gaurantee of any type of success, Edmonton, Florida and the NYI are prime examples of this.

I agree drafting is the key to success, but, you don't need top three picks to find that success IMO. McCann, Virtanen, Horvat & Jensen have all been good picks that will pay off in the future...again...IMO.

Fla are in the playoffs . At least they were yesterday and NYI are playoff bound too.

You have a very very selective memory??

Panthers have qualified for the post season twice in the past 16 years.

The Islanders haven't won a playoff series in 23 years and only made the playoffs twice in the past ten years. Five times in 20 years.

We need to maximize the assets that we do have because we have so few. It would be silly to throw any away

Nucker can you veto foscos trades and take over his team for the rest of the year. Clearly the guy is a loser, and wants to be a jackass. Glad he's not around here anymore, his entitlement mentality is too much to take.
