Like Boston is going to trade Lucic or Hamilton for someone who can't stay healthy through the course of season and has accomplished diddly poop.

You guys (frank)ed this all up not drafting Seguin. The Hall as Bruin ship sailed years ago.

I could see Boston trading Lucic soon because of cap issues but I don't see the point in swapping identical 6 mil contracts.

Neither do I. Also completely kills what's left of Boston's identity. Hall plays tough but seems to be more reckless abandon rather than actually being tough.

Dougie Armstrong?

Why would Boston trade St-Louis GM?

or you meant Hamilton?

Interesting. Depends on what you think of mantha. I think he's got what it takes to be a future great winger but for some it might be different.

Yeah he's physically tough but not mentally, as in he pops back up after a big check but he won't defend his team-mates the way Lucic does.

Personally I'd rather see my team trade for Eberle. Obviously going to cost you less of a return, and I think you end up with more bang for your buck with that said.

All of which isn't to say I wouldn't love Hall on the Habs, just think he's clearly going to cost any team interested a huge amount in return.

I could see Hall being traded. But not until the off season.

Most playoff competitive teams cannot risk making their best offer right now.

Come June, teams will be able to restructure in relation to the cap and there could be some monster offers, including

a #1 goalie

a top 6 skater

a top prospect

a #1 pick (top 10)

Hall can individually get it done. Burn by defenders, strong enough on his skates to muscle off defenders & he has a work ethic. He would make a team like Boston, who has team guys throughout their roster a very good team. Like how kovalchuk did with nj.

For hall they would ask for something crazy like Hamilton, Subban, prospect and a 1st...

Aka, not worth it. Not sure I trade Hamilton straight up for Hall... Yes, hall is a better player, but top pairing Dmen don't grow on trees, especially ones that are early 20's and already a top pairing Dman, with Chara older why would they ever move Dougie. I think Hamilton is pretty much unmovable.

Bruins could realistically offer Subban, Khoklachev, Krug and a 1st or something like that most likely, which likely doesn't get it done

- MrBeanTown

A second pairing D, a guy that will never be anything more than a backup, a question mark and a late first for one of the most dynamic skater in the league that is still itching the surface of his potential.

This is true. There's no playoff team that can offer what Edmonton would need without putting themselves behind where they are today in terms of competing. There is the option of a trade with another bottom end team though, if they're looking to finally shake up the room and get a new look in both cases.

They will for sure, just give him a roster spot without making him earn it. Waste valuable years of a ELC.

We better not be getting a GM back in that trade. We will bring up a prospect GM from the minors before taking on MacT.

Also, I believe he meant "scratching" the surface. I don't know how you "itch" something.

That'd be so dumb. As everyone has said a million times: Eberle, Yakupov, and prospects should be their only real pieces in a trade.

It all depends. Say it would cost the Bruins Krejci then there is no point. All the other centers are slotted incorrectly and you have what has been happening with the Bruins throughout the duration of his injury.
