I'd rather put some of any MSL $$$ to Staal. I like Marty SL, but Rangers need his cap hit gone for next season to resign Staal, Stepan, Hags...

Kovalchuk should be a UFA eligible to sign a new contract with anyone if he comes back, including the Icelanders

But he should not be Devils property under that old contract still.

I think the guy is a piece of junk but also think hes one of the best offensive players I've seen. It'd be ridiculous if the Devils were able to get him. Id think at least one owner would vote against it even though there is usually solidarity between the owners.
