I hope you guys realize that the GM that's usually aggressively shopping around the league is usually the one who tends to overpay. That''s why they call it a panic trade. The bottom feeders are always willing to wait until the last hour of the TDL before they sell a player unless they get an offer they really like. And the contenders or middle of the pack teams usually aren't willing to give up a solid defensmen, again unless it's too good of a deal or they really like a particular player on your roster.

Forwards that help out and back check would help as well. 3-1 etc are not just the D's fault

Agreed. Although Edler IMO has improved enough defensively that I'd have him ahead of Stanton who's not looked as good in this system. May have something to do with who they're paired with, but I'd still give Edler the benefit of the doubt.

Garrison was definitely the clear #3 guy in that pecking order, even after his mediocre year last year. Ideally Bieksa would have been moved, but his NTC was a big time issue and Benning is probably a big fan of his I'm guessing.

It is never a good time. The only way you dress someone from the farm is because of injury or poor play.

If they can make the trade for a young dman who can make a difference, then I hope they do it. But it will be expensive.
