The thing that pis$ed me off the most recently and that continues to happen game in and game out for the last how many years are things like the 4 on 4 in Ottawa Daniel had a partial break and instead of driving the net he stops looks for someone to pass to in f@cking overtime and it leads to the game winner. Drive the goddam net, seriously I don't know how much more of that BS I can take. The Sedins pull that crap constantly it is by far my biggest knock against them. Shoot the puck. They create more scoring chances for the other team than they do for their own. No sense of urgency what so ever. I don't care that Daniel has more OT goals than anyone in canuck history. I think their game would improve immensely if they would play a more aggressive game. They have become too predictable and have always been to passive.
Things are starting to go stale much like this time last season. If it was a loss here or a loss there fine but this is 5 in a row. Trending downwards. Last week 17 people graded the team a D (they still aren't a good team and major changes are needed). I don't think it was all troll votes.

There were reports earlier this year that Boston wanted another big forward. Wonder if Kassian or Matthias could get moved.

It is baffling that they are still on the + side of +/-

They are less aggressive than they used to be, more patient or less confident, the same results. Henrik on the wall, defenders aren't attaking because they know shooting is his third option after passing or moving it further down towards the corner.

Putting Vrbata with them means they are both looking to pass it to him so he can shoot. A waste of Vrbata on that line lately.

I didn't realize Henrik was doing so well on faceoffs in the first, in the third with their PP I was hoping they would put Horvat out there to win the faceoff in the o zone.

Don't know why I am complaining so much, starting to look forward to them missing the playoffs and getting a half decent pick.

PP is poop lately. IMO, no team is fearing our point shots, so they focus on blocking out Vrbata, pressuring Henrik, etc.

Till you have that point shot going again, the PP will struggle.

More Hansen: "I’d rather play like poop and win games. But that’s not the way it’s going right now.” #Canucks

That was a neat shift where he skated around the ozone, lost puck to Spezza and got it back... don't think they registered a shot though...

Hansen was definitely flying last night, they did out-chance the Stars but that fluky goal against and lack of finish on Lehtonen was a really frustrating way to lose. Lehtonen was solid, but you gotta bury one of those breakways on him.

I'd be down for that.

I'd assume Boston would only do it if Matthias can get re-signed though since he's a pending UFA.

I know hits aren't the be all and when you are controlling the play and have the puck, you aren't hitting... but Burrows, Sbisa, Vey, Tanev, Bonino, Richardson, Hansen, Horvat and the Sedins all had 0 hits... we are not a hard team to play against.

I'd be shocked if we could move Higgins or Burrows to Boston, I think they want to get younger.

0 hits? Who cares how many hits Henrik has???

Hitting is part of stripping the puck off the other team

Henrik can be forgiven at least, the guy is basically the engine of our offense and Torts tried to get him to play more physical and he ended up getting injured.

The rest of the guys don't get as much slack.

Vantel should be a little cheerier with some rumours floating around.

Still think it would have been interesting to see Corrado, Sanguinetti or Biega get a shot on d to just shake it up over the last few games.

Predicting Sestito will be in the lineup Saturday night as the Flames play a more physical game.

Unless you're one of the top 10-15 scorers in the league, everyone will have bad stretches. Hell, Stars fans were on Jamie Benn's case earlier this year when he was struggling.

Henrik is still our best offensive player.
