Went to see the Hobbit tonight instead of watching the game. I see the dreaded Sbisa Webber pairing did not finish in the - column unlike our other D men.
I see Edler is -2 but sounds like he had a good game if Im follwing the comments correctly.
Only 2 goals let in tonight. Lack must of been ok? - boonerbuck
One empty netter, the other one Lack knocked into the net himself, team played better defensively but couldn't score on Lehtonen...he played really well.
Edler played 29 minutes, almost half the game, guys a beast. |

Yeah we're really starting to slide here. It's troubling. - AlexF
Perhaps they were simply over achieving at the beginning of the year.
Maybe Torts wasnt the problem |

understandable but there's nothing for Benning to really do, other than call up our one NHL ready prospect in Jensen.
He can't trade any prospects because we don't have very many and that would set us back as a franchise, or, we don't have any that teams would want. No one is taking Burrows contract and Bieksa has a full NTC. There's not much Benning can do, I'd like to see him trade Higgins though. |

Didn't say he played bad . Good defensively did zip offensively. He sucked on the PP but was good defensively. I was just making a comment he didn't have a great game |

At least one of them will have their losing streak end. |

13th would be a wildcard spot. 17th I could understand not wanting.
30 oilers (obviously)
29 hurricanes
28-25 Devils/coyotes/Sabres
24-20 Avalanche/Flyers/Capitals/Canucks
Sedins better ramp up their game or we will be bottom 3rd of the league |

Well we are starting a month early this year compared to last year.
Top line top two paid forwards 13 goals combined after 32 games
Second line top two paid forwards 11 goals after 32 games
Top 3 paid Dmen 5 goals after 32 games it is very possible to finish bottom 5 |

Not going to happen, the Sedin's are becoming too predictable. |

The only place the Sedin's are fun to watch is just inside the blue-line.
Down low they are incredibly predictable, and in the neutral zone, and defensive zone they are also very predictable to most "good teams" with decent top 4 d-men.

I may be in the minority on this but after tonight I really wish Horvat was going to the WJHC.
4th line seems really stale right now, and Horvat had the lowest ice tonight. Shift Jensen into the lineup.
Missing 6 games to bring some excitement back to his game seems good by me.
Dreger just said Ottawa is leaning towards letting Lazar go to the WJHC. |

They are our best players but that has to change. 14 mil for 13 goals is crazy. ( sorry Lefty)
We go through the same thing every year, but the loyalty of this fan base makes it hard to make changes.
Sedins are mediocre, end of story numbers don't lie and we have our next three years invested in them, and a few others.
Torts said it last year on his exit this team needs a shakeup |
